Da Vinci — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

In our trip in Santorini, we craved some other kind of food then the usual traditional Greek food. After some looking around we found this little place just a few 100 meters from our hotel.

Arriving, we where friendly located to our table. Considering Santorini, the menu prices where kinda of high to what we are used to. But hey, we are on vacation.. :-)

We took fociaccio appetiser and ordered 2 pasta dishes. For some reason everything arrived at once. That kind of unusual as we wanted to get that to start, talk order new drinks when getting the main dishes. But well, both there we ate both ATST.. as both where hot.

Both dishes where excellent. Descent portions. And very tastfull

Finishing first, they took away my plate while my girlfriend was still eating. For me that a big NoNo. As it gives my partner a certain rush to eat her plate faster.

And not 1 min later she arrived with 2 limoncello's while her plate was stil not finished. Again got the feeling of being rushed and not so welcome.

But ok, while asking for the bill they offered a little dessert. And the feeling of being...

My husband had the veal t-bone and it was very tender and perfect! I do have to say though that he ordered it med-well and what he got was more med-rare (that being said my husband said it was tender and delicious and had no complaints at all lol he’d kill me for even mentioning it but alas) I’m bringing it up in case you order it, make sure you insist on it being cooked how you want despite any interjections- be assertive, it’s your meal! I had the chicken with mashed potatoes and it was amazing! All the way down to the vegetables! Just when we thought we couldn’t eat more, they gave us an amazingly delicious ice cream as dessert! It was small and perfect. I am so impressed with this place. Also did I mention our wine?! Ugh perfection! Not only do they have a great selection but they pair things well, such as orange slices in our glass to open up the wine. The service was prompt and we did not want for a thing. EXCELLENT REVIEW! Craving something different from traditional Greek food, My family and I visited Da Vinci on the second night of our stay in Santorini. It blew us away! Madalin, our server was incredible! He has a genuine desire to serve and please his customers. We split a few dishes amongst our family and everything was wonderful. (pappardelle, carbonara, pizza, salads, and multiple desserts.) The restaurant is intimate, food delicious, but once again, I need to emphasize how great the service was. We made a joke about craving some baklava, which they did not have on their menu. Madalin ran down the street to their other restaurant to get some for us! We quickly became friends with Madalin and the next day he spared a few hours from work to tour the island with us on some ATVs we rented! Stumbling upon this restaurant ending up making our stay in Santorini extra special. I highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed! Ask...
