ALL GROCERY SHOPPERS NEED TO BE AWARE OF THE PRICES.
This place seemed good at first. The first time I went here guy the greeted me was friendly and offered assistance so I decided to go back when I needed some groceries.
When I went back to buy some drinks I noticed no prices. I asked how much it was for a 1.5L water and the guy said not sure but probably 1euro. So I got the water, 2 x Aloe Vera drinks and 3 x 330ml beers. At the checkout one lady calls out to another lady to add it up. I paid 16.30 euro in total which I didn’t think too much about at the time but when I checked the receipt I couldn’t make sense of it as the descriptions didn’t seem to look right also it was in Greek. I immediately went back to question if I was charged correctly. They said it was correct even though I said a beer at the stores all around here are only 1.50 and you charged me 2.50. The water was charged at 1.50 when your staff told me 1.00. The aloe Vera drinks were charged at 3.90 each. The ladies were getting defensive and said if you had ordered online it would be cheaper. I’m thinking okay this is really not making any sense now. Rather than get into an argument I decided to leave it at that. They may have made some extra euros from me but they have lost the rest of my business for my stay at Santorini. Congratulations to Ilios Bakery for ripping of trusting Santorini visitors. Great hospitality. I would have tried some of your food but I will never...
Read moreAWFUL customer service & harassment!! ZERO STARS NOT a good experience at all. Food is cheap and not worth the prices. I ordered the turkey club, and the turkey & mayo were slimy and gross. Not good tasting at all. I KINDLY asked if I could order something else, and then I got harassed by 2 different ladies for 10 minutes. I simply said I did not like the taste, and they asked me over and over and OVER what is wrong with it, and said they didn’t get what the problem was. I boyfriend eats everything, and he couldn’t even eat it. After being harassed, they finally took it back and the chef had them come out with the turkey package and show me that the meat isn’t bad or outdated… why? Not sure. Never said that it was, and I’d sure hope that it wasn’t outdated if they were serving it!! They then said since the meat wasn’t bad (???) that I’d have to pay half of my new meal. So I ended up having to pay 12E for the food I didn’t eat, and then pay half of my new meal. No refunds, HORRIBLE customer service. My boyfriend’s meal was also cheap and not very good. It looked like a frozen packaged meal that was off the shelf. This would never happen in the US. If you don’t like your food, and are kind about it, you should be brought a new meal at no charge, or at least a refund for the last meal and pay for...
Read moreWe stayed in Imerovigli/Santorini for four days in May 2017 and stopped here every morning for coffee and a quick breakfast. This shop/cafe serves very good coffee, pastries and yogurt with fresh fruit. They also offer a range of light lunch options (see posted delivery menu pic). Other reviews noted that the grocery prices are high here but we did not buy any groceries so can't remark on that. It seems like they stock groceries very lightly because there are larger markets up the street (less than 100m). Locals we saw coming in and out of this cafe only bought coffee/pastries.
Overall the staff is really friendly, the coffee and prices are GREAT for Santorini, and they are very fast. We ordered an omelette every morning and it was just as good as an omelette we had at one of the restaurants with a caldera view (at a fraction of the price). I also had a chocolate croissant and the fresh yogurt with honey and fruit, and would HIGHLY recommend this cafe to anyone staying in Imerovigli for coffee, pastries, omelettes and yogurt. There is ample seating in front and to the side of their shop. They also deliver from 7am to 4pm daily which is a good option for those staying at places with no breakfast option. We loved how close this was to our Imerovigli hotel and will be back next time we're...
