Katikies Chromata Santorini — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

From the moment we arrived, our experience at Katikies Chromata Santorini was nothing short of exceptional. Our trip began with Dimitris, the Katikies driver, who picked us up from the ferry. He was incredibly professional and kind, sharing stories of Santorini’s history and offering wonderful recommendations for our stay.

The hotel itself is absolutely stunning and in a perfect central location, making all of our outings around the island easy and accessible. We were welcomed warmly by the front desk staff and bellmen, and our room far exceeded expectations—spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed. We were delighted to find a handwritten note from the manager, Marko, along with traditional Greek sweets and a lovely bottle of rosé wine waiting for us.

Every staff member we encountered—from the pool bar and restaurant staff to housekeeping and the bell team—was exceptional. I would especially like to recognize our bellman, Zestomi, who was so polite, friendly, and professional while assisting us with our luggage. I also had the pleasure of meeting Marko, the Manager, who was warm, kind, and accommodating—just like his entire staff. It should also be noted that the front desk staff was exceptional. They were instrumental in arranging our excursions, dinner reservations, and transfers, and always had thoughtful recommendations for anything we needed. Their support made our stay seamless and truly enjoyable.

Katikies Chromata is truly special. The combination of breathtaking views, thoughtful touches, and world-class service made our stay unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning on our next visit...

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon for 5 nights and our experience was amazing.

The rooms were always clean, stocked, and service was consistent. We stayed in the Junior Suite with a private whirlpool. The pool was spacious, and though it could've been cleaned a bit more often, always offered a relaxing and comfortable experience. The rooms were nice and cool thanks to the air conditioning, so we never experienced any heat during the hot July days.

The service was absolutely 5 star. We were able to reach out to the staff 247 through whatsapp or via in-room phone. They helped with dinner reservations, transportation, and coordinating breakfast boxes when we were on the go. The staff throughout the property was always kind and smiling; they made us feel incredibly welcome and we knew we could reach out to any staff member.

The location is fantastic. Imerovigli in general is not as crowded as Fira or Oia, so it was very pleasant walking around the property and the surrounding area. The hotel is situatated such that you have an unobstructed view of the caldera. This is HUGE. Other locations in Imerovigli have the Skaros rock directly under. But this property is positioned such that you do not see Skaros rock. The result? A clean, gorgeous view of the caldera.

We had dinner one night at their restaurant, Koukoumavlos, and the food was delicious and service impeccable. The pool bar/restaurant was also great -- the infinity pool has a gorgeous view of the caldera and the view is also great if you sit and dine.

Overall, we would happily stay here again and would recommend this...

We have been many places but this was our first time to Santorini—a place I dreamed of since watching The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants with my kids. Could it really be like this? ANSWER: yes. Santorini is amazing, and full of cute quirky cultural nuances and warm, friendly people. ||This resort is five star. Could be six. ||Let’s start with the people. The service was amazing if not over the top. The front desk staff went out of their way on many occasions for us. Led by Antonis and backed by Alex and Mideia. They even returned my rental car for me. Paid the bill and then settled up with me later. I am certain this is not protocol. ||Each morning, we were greeted warmly for breakfast by Christos, Tasos, Agostina and Rafaela. We got to know them personally. The underlying theme was warm, kind, welcoming people with great pride for their nation and eager to give us suggestions on must-have meals and must-have experiences. ||The morning breakfast was “abundant” and top shelf. Almost too many unique local choices and accoutrements. And free. I could not put a glass down without someone refilling my juice, water or coffee before I could count to ten. ||The view from the room was front row and center stage. All the rooms have this view and each room is more of a suite with inside and outside spaces varying in size and accommodations like private patios and pools. It was amazing.
