⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A True Hidden Gem in Santorini – Balla Grill House! If you are a tourist in Santorini and want to feel like a local, Balla Grill House in the quiet village of Imerovigli is an absolute must. This is not just a restaurant—it’s an experience. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the warmth and respect you’d give to family. The owners and their children welcome you with genuine smiles, and the way they treat guests makes you feel like you’ve come home. The children help with such enthusiasm—always smiling, polite, and willing to assist—which only adds to the charm and family atmosphere. Now let’s talk about the food—because it is nothing short of spectacular. We started with the Greek Salad, and I can honestly say it was the best we had in all of Greece. Perfectly ripe tomatoes bursting with sweetness, crisp onions, fresh green peppers, olives that pop with briny richness, and feta so firm yet creamy it practically melts when paired with their perfectly balanced olive oil and spices. It’s a masterclass in simplicity done perfectly. We came back a second night just for this salad—and it was just as flawless. The chicken gyros wrap was outstanding: tender, juicy chicken packed into a pita grilled to absolute perfection, with golden fries seasoned with a paprika kick, and a sauce that elevated the whole wrap into something unforgettable. It’s the kind of food that makes you stop mid-bite and just smile. The sausage kalamakia and kebab kalamakia were in a league of their own—smoky, juicy, and exploding with flavor from the grill. On our second visit, we also tried the pork souvlaki gyro and kebab souvlaki wrap, and again—Balla delivered consistency that’s rare to find. Every dish was cooked with care, bursting with flavor, and left us planning what we’d try next time. Everything about this place is genuine: the food, the atmosphere, and the family running it. You can taste the pride in every bite and feel the heart they put into their service. If you want a tourist-trap meal, go elsewhere. If you want a true taste of Greece, with food cooked to perfection and hospitality that makes you feel like family, Balla Grill House is where you need to be. We loved it so much we went back the very next night—and would go back a third if we could. This is hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had in Greece. Do yourself a favor—skip the hype spots and come here for the real deal.

Stopped in for lunch while we were staying on Santorini. This place was recommended by our hotel, Villa Lukas, and did not disappoint. I had the chicken gyro and loved it. Normally I’m going to go for the pork gyro, but for some reason I decided to mix it up today and was super happy I did. My wife had the pork gyro and really liked hers as well. I tried it and it was great, but I liked the chicken better. She was very happy that this place was generous with the tzatziki! Edit: We decided to come back here to have dinner, and we were so glad we did. We each had the dinner portion pork gyros, and the food was just as good as the first time. In addition, the service here was excellent, they really make you feel welcome.

As we walked past balla grill house we were told “ this is the best gyros in all of the town!” We stopped and dine there and very much agreed! So much we came back 3 days in a row. The foods were delicious and fresh, the beer was ice cold, what else could you ask for on a hot summer day. The prices are really good too but nothing beats the great flavours and service received! Our favourites were the pork and chicken gyros, the sausage souvlaki (which I refer to as the Greek hotdog), the tzatziki and the Greek salad was so enjoyable. The sizes of the meals were huge! We will definitely return to enjoy another meal when we visit Santorini again! Thank you for having us Marios!

Don't miss out on this place! Without a doubt, one of the food highlights of our trip to the island. The authenticity of the food, the freshness of the ingredients, and above all, the exceptional service made this place amazing for a casual but tasty meal.

From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly greeted by Marios, the host, whose genuine hospitality set the tone for our meal. Marios went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable, his genuine smile and kindness was what kept us returning, even though there a million options vying for tourist's attention.

A special mention must go to the young female server (unfortunately, we didn't catch her name). Her attentive and friendly smile made us feel right at home.

Balla Grill House is a must-visit for anyone in Imerovigli looking for casual or take-out authentic Greek food at a reasonable price. The combination of delectable food, fresh ingredients, and outstanding service provided by Marios and his team ensures an experience that is second to none. We can't...
