Let’s get it out of the way. The hill! Yes it’s a shock.
Very clean indeed. Two maids work hard all day doing a fantastic job.
Pool is superb.
Good air con unit. Shower fairly standard basic but adequate, comfy beds, wardrobe and drawers space, safe, tv, fridge, ceramic hob unit (no oven or microwave), kettle, knives, forks etc but no pots or pans for cooking. No bother to most who mainly eat out but if you did want that facility you would need to enquire with the resort directly -
Bed and breakfast service as standard and the breakfast was pretty fair for the price. It’s a good attempt to provide a varied basic selection.
Is it 4 star? It’s close but no it’s only 3 in my book.
Is it a spar resort as name suggests? No it’s not. There’s no facility on site to brag it’s a spa resort which usually offers massage and other treatments. There is a gym of sorts with some good equipment both pool side and under the pool terrace area, there is an indoor sauna (inside pool side gym area) and there’s a hot tub spa bath outside which is good fun.
Is there food on site? Following breakfast the resort staff do provide a few basic lunch options such as toasties, french fries, pizza, salads etc. It seems to finish about 3pm. That’s it. I wish the resort offered an extension to this but I guess the resort is small and not enough guests to make it a viable option to offer dinner. They might consider an in house Greek night once a week and I am sure that would work successfully to pull in all guests and it would be one less climb up that hill!
Is it a good location? Yes I think it is. Despite the flipping hill, at least the complex is up and off the noisy busy main road below. A plus for the hill here as Enetiko is above all very peaceful. There’s a few shops on the main road. Walk into Parga centre is 10 minutes away and if you find the back alleys is much safer than on the main road. Do take care with traffic. Mopeds are plenty and they wizz about everywhere. As all of Greece there is little formality or respecting of regulation so take care and have your wits about you. Parga is beautiful. We were here in a heatwave and it wasn’t easy to walk as we might usually do but the harbour area is vibrant and busy in an evening. Get in the back streets as well and seek out a tucked away restaurant. Walk up to the old town by the castle. It’s another climb I am afraid but well worth the views and traditional old Greek feel. I must mention our fantastic couple of hours one late lunchtime at “The Three plain Trees” restaurant in the old town area. Unfortunately there is only one of the original trees left which is 300 years old but still standing and this tree was as welcoming as the old man who shared its shade. Two younger trees in pots make up the difference. The old man explained that the other trees were lost in a storm a long while back but he was a very proud man, plain to see, and it was his welcome that drew us to sit for a drink and rest adding some lunch. Garlic mash potatoes, croquettes, simple salad and feta. It worked for me and we watched the locals go about their business, chatting, doing business, back and forth on their mopeds, the baker delivery on moped, the beer delivery on moped, the fresh tablecloth delivery on moped. We soaked in the view over Valtos beach under that old tree which sheltered us from the searing sun in idilic , “Shirley Valentine” esque fashion. It was one of those special moments! Thank you old man and thank you old tree.
Said enough. Now get yourself booked and off. What’s not to like? Ok a hill !!!
Verifying response to other review- the pool toilet basin does work with running water. It’s a floor pedal operated system. Greece? I...

We loved Parga, but Enetiko put a dampener on our holiday and is somewhere we will not return or recommend for the below reasons in particular:
The climb: We had read the reviews and expected the steep hill, but not the stairs following these. Even as a fit young couple, it was trying on our legs after a fortnight. It was slippy when it rained too, and completely dark at night as it was not illuminated until near the top. On arrival, the hotel brought our suitcases up in a truck, but this was not the case on departure or any other time, when we were left to our own devices.
Payment issues: Every time we ordered a drink we checked we could pay by card and were told the machine was down but getting fixed so our room tab grew. We tried to pay multiple times during our fortnight stay, and on the penultimate day, we were told only cash would be accepted. I could see the card machine plugged in (per the new greek law for POS), but they refused to even try our card. I had to withdraw Euros and pay the ATM charge as we'd only brought enough to cover the tourist tax and tips. Bit suspect and especially annoying as we were led to believe otherwise.
4 stars? Eco?: I had high hopes for the hotel based on the images and star rating, but the facilities and little touches let it down e.g. the tap in the pool toilets did not work, there was no water on arrival, the bathrooms were very dark, etc. The rooms were nice enough and equipped with air con, but nothing special. I'm also unsure how the hotel could have been described as eco.
Secretive: It also wasn't until the second week of our stay, when brand reps for a travel company came to visit, that we were told about the gym and the hot tub was uncovered. A fellow guest went in and noticed lots of dust and took a few snaps of the state so we stayed clear. At no point did I see anything that made me believe this was a resort and "spa". We didn't even know there was the option to get food at the hotel outside of breakfast as this was not advertised and the staff were not forthcoming - definitely not your typical Greek hospitality.
Disappointing food: We booked B&B, but the standard "greek" breakfast was in fact cereal, cold meats and cheese, fruit, some variations of hot food heated by tea lights, shop bought croissants and cake, and stale bread. It was basic and uninspired to the point where we actually went elsewhere for breakfast a few times. I expected the option to order hot food, or even for the assortment to be adapted...
Read moreWe stayed in the resort for 1 weeks.
Here’s the good …
The rooms were clean and the cleaners do a fabulous job each day keeping them that way The views from the resort are fabulous
Here’s the not so great. ….
The wooden sun bed frames need revarnishjng and are tatty, the mattresses also need a good clean
The breakfast is certainly not what you would expect for a “4” star resort ! The cups for breakfast always looked dirty so I took my own to breakfast, the hot food is pointless, greasy square bacon, some eggs that taste like egg custard, tiny inch hot dog sausages and some pastry thing. That’s it and it’s the same every day. Not a scrambled or fried egg to be seen all week.
The 4 guys that seem to run the place seemed more interested in what they were doing on their mobile phones than want to communicate with you and it felt an inconvenience if you asked for a drink from the bar.
There is no sign of any menus for lunch time meals not even sure if they did them the kitchen always looked locked up??
The hill ….. its steep! My husband slipped on the way down when it had been raining. When wet it’s a death trap. !! So slippy !
4 stars ! Never !!! We have stayed in much nicer 2 star hotels in Greece.
Would we return, probably not, you need a special experience to make that climb to the hotel...
