Hermes Hotel — Hotel in Paros Municipality

I’ve stayed in dozens of places in Paros and hundreds all over Greece over the years and this is the worst hotel by far. ||No one in reception when I arrived despite calling them the day before to inform hotel of my arrival time. Took half an hour to find someone. Phone numbers didn’t answer. Manager does not speak a word of English which makes it difficult to communicate problems, and there are many. Didn’t get the welcome drink I supposed to get. This is supposed to be a hotel. Where is the customer service? Many other guests were voicing their displeasure to me. ||No soap or shampoo, had to ask. Soap in a hotel room is a basic right. ||Room had not been swept for some time. ||Everything in room in dilapidated and in deplorable state. ||Bathroom appalling. Low water pressure. No hot water in the morning or the evening. Toilet doesn’t flush properly. No glass in bathroom for water. No hairdryer. No plug in sink. ||Threadbare single top sheet on double bed. ||Very Loud plumbing noises from other rooms which would wake the dead. ||Unidentifiable motor type noises elsewhere in the building constantly. ||Breakfast (which costs extra) is a pathetic joke. Crispbreads and lukewarm coffee. No real milk. No bread no eggs no yoghurt, no cheese, nothing. ||Wifi does not work in room. ||Small square Tv does not work but apparently only Greek anyway which is completely useless for tourists I don’t don’t know why they bother to have it at all. ||Room only serviced once in a week when I asked. I was not told til the last day you have to leave your key so they can clean. What, they have no other keys? I swept my own room. ||Dark stairwell at night. Missing lights in hallway. Why are they not replaced? ||For the rate I paid for seven days and single occupancy it was highway robbery. The Greek Tourism Commission should shut these disgraceful dumps down. They have no place in modern Greece and tourists...

I have been to many cheap hotels and apartments but this is below any standard, it's better to sleep on the beach than here. Matrass must be 20 year old, it is stained and has a hole in the middle throught which you can feel the base of the bed. Woke up with really bad back pain. No one took out our trash from the room whole day. Most of the light bulbs where broken, toilet is leaking whole time, as well as the sink. They don't serve breakfast although they have the breakfast option on Booking which costs 4 eur per day per person. There is no WIfi, not even in the common areas. When we complained on the matrass and asked for a different room they told us that everything will be settled, not to worry, that they won't charge us first night etc. We gave them all morning and half of afternoon to settle the problems but when we came back nothing was settled, they offered us smaller room without balcony, with separate beds, which matrases were equally as bas as in the booked room. When we wanted to check out and pay only the first night they threatened us that we will have to pay almost triple price of the staying or they will let the booking charge us all 6 days. Fortunately, I called the Booking and the settled everything up. Its a shame that a hotel on such a great location and with big potential is left to rot by...

Avevo prenotato pernottamento camera x 2 persone per 2 notti. Aria condizionata non funzionante, dopo aver cercato di sostituire 2 volte il telecomando, ci hanno risposto che c’era un problema al computer e che l’avrebbero sistemata il giorno dopo e solo su diversi solleciti ce l’hanno accesa alla sera dopo diverse ore ma non ci hanno dato il telecomando, quindi abbiamo dovuto spostare un letto per non avere l’aria direttamente addosso e a meta’ notte abbiamo dovuto aprire la finestra per far entrare un po’ di caldo in stanza. Mi sono accorta che la doccia era completamente fredda solo quando ornai ero insaponata, quindi ho fatto la doccia fredda e dopodiché sono scesa nuovamente a lamentrami con un signore che non parlava mezza parola d’inglese. A gesti ci siamo un po’ capiti e mi ha detto di aspettare qualche minuto... in questo modo la mia amica ha potuto fare la doccia calda. Il bagno era in condizioni pessime, non finito, ancora con il cemento su pareti e pavimento e con una finta finestra non apribile. La camera invece nel complesso era carina. Il giorno dopo, visto i disagi che avevamo avuto, la ragazza alla reception mi ha detto che avrebbe chiesto al suo principale di farci pagare meta’ prezzo, ma cosi’ non e’ stato perche’ secondo loro non poter regolare l’aria condizionata non era un disagio e per quanto riguardava la doccia fredda era sufficiente attendere qualche minuto..... Ripeto che ero sotto la doccia gia’ insaponata e nessuno mi aveva avvertito che avrei dovuto attendere per fare la doccia calda! Al mattino seguente la ragazza alla reception ci ha avvertito che avremmo dovuto lasciare la camera entro le 11 perche’ attendevano altri ospiti. Io avevo prenotato la camera per 2 notti, quindi quali altri ospiti aspettavano?????? Tengo a precisare che avevo avvertito che avremmo lasciato la camera in anticipo la sera prima non pernottando la 2’ notte ma avremmo comunque pagato le 2 notti che avevamo prenotato, ma non una camera in quelle condizioni. Al nostro ritorno nel tardo pomeriggio abbiamo trovato la camera esattamente come l’avevamo lasciata al mattino, letti non fatti, asciugamani non cambiati, neanche un rotolo di carta igienica. Ho chiesto spiegazioni e mi e’ stato risposto che tanto avremmo lasciato la camera poche ore dopo, quindi non era necessario rifare la camera. Ribadisco, io ho pagato x 2 notti!!!! Avrebbero dovuto rifarci la camera comunque indipendentemente dall’orario del check-out, che per l’albergo sarebbe stato il giorno dopo. Aggiungo che ho ricevuto una telefonata da parte della reception mentre eravamo fuori hotel (se cosi’ vogliamo chiamarlo) in cui mi e’ stato detto che attendevano il pagamento oppure avremmo dovuto andare a prendere le valigie. Ripeto che avevo prenotato per 2 notti! E il giorno prima all’arrivo ho chiesto di pagare subito ma mi e’ stato risporto che avrei pagato il giorno dopo. Evitate questo posto,...
