Olive Grove Studios — Hotel in Skiathos Municipality

I can recommend Olive Grove Studios to anyone traveling to Skiathos. The studios are located in Megali Ammos area, closest bus stop is nr5.||||The studios are located a 5minute walk away from the main Ring road crossroad. There are 3 supermarkets close to the bus stop nr5. There is also a small vehicle rental place in the crossroads of the Ring road and the gravel road leading up to the studios.||||The Studios are very clean, the bed is comfy and the kitchenette has a working small oven, coffeemaker and a water cooker. My room had basic kitchen tools and cutlery for 2 persons. Bathroom is spacious enough, and the view from the balcony is simply breathtaking. Free wi-fi and free A/C in all rooms.||||Staff was very welcoming and helpful, the family lives in the same building. There is no reception but as this is more of a self-service Studio, I personally did not need much assistane during my stay.||||There is no pool or restaurant in the Studios, but the closest beach is a 7minute walk away, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby as well as well stocked supermarkets.||||Can recommend warmly to anyone looking to stay close to Skiathos town and Megali...

Hotel is located 5 minutes from the beach and maybe 10-15 min walk from city centre. What we didnt like was the fact that balcony doors inside the room were not closing properly therefore we could hear everything from outside, including people living next to us. In general the hotel was not a quiet place - you can hear people walking above you, cleaning lady would start cleaning since 8 am but in the most noisy way I have ever heard, not very considerate towards customers I would say. So we ended up buying earplugs. The second most ridiculous thing was that after we arrived and wanted to use air conditioning which was mentioned that is included in the package we couldn't because we had to pay 45 euros extra ??? So instead we were boiling inside the room for 8 days + the bathroom smelled which was not the most exciting experience. Island is beautiful with so much to see but I wouldn't choose this...

Vi tog på vinst eller förlust en billig resa med Ving, och vann jackpot! |Olive Grove Studios ligger nära busshållplats 5. Det är en backe upp och även ett gäng trappor, men den utsikten man får över hela Megali Ammos-bukten är slående vacker!|Vi bodde högst upp i ett rum med balkong med havsutsikt. AC kostade 35 Euro extra för en vecka. |Rummet var väldigt fräscht och städerskan höll kliniskt rent. I rummet fanns ett litet kökspentry med köksgeråd, spis, ugn, kyl, frysfack, vattenkokare och kaffebryggare. |Ägarinnan var väldigt trevlig och serviceminded. De bor i ett hus bredvid gästbyggnaden med tio rum. Vi skulle inte åka hem förrän kl 22 på kvällen men fick förvara våra väskor i ett rum och sedan även använda duschen innan hemresa, vilket gjorde att vi kunde njuta av sista dagen på stranden och sedan landa fräscha i Sverige. |Hotellet må vara tvåstjärnigt pg a att det saknar pool och restaurang, men för oss var det femstjärnigt vad gäller service, standard, städning och läge. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka till Olive Grove Studios!|Hotellet ligger max 10 minuters promenad från Megali Ammos strand, med flera supermarkets och tavernor i närheten. 10 Euro för två solstolar och parasoll per dag. Bästa tavernan tyckte vi var Thessaloniki, och bästa kvällsrestaurangen Exantas, i Megali Ammos. |Närmaste busshållplats är nr 5. Det tar ca 15 minuter att gå till Skiathos stad. Där var restaurangerna Marmita och Artesanal helt magiskt bra. |Eftersom det bara finns en busslinje så är det omöjligt att åka fel. Det kostar ca 1.60-2 Euro beroende på hur långt man ska. Vi rekommenderar er att testa lite olika stränder längs med hållplatserna. Vi fastnade för stränderna vid hållplats nr 12. |Men eftersom det finns över 60 stränder så finns det ju någon för alla. |Vi åker gärna tillbaka till Skiathos igen.
