Its a very good hotel for a good price. I booked the 4people room and had it all for myself. The room is pretty big and has its own bath/toilet, the beds are the most comfortable ive slept in in the last 2months of mexico and Guatemala. It gets quite cold here and in the other 2 hostel ive been to at atitlan i had to sleep in clothes and it was still a bit cool, not here tho. You get a very comfortable and warm blanket and good pillow plus the beds are pretty big in size and a large European guy still fits in good unlike a lot of other beds here that are designed for the small Guatemalans. Anyways, the location is o.k. a bit outside of the main tourist spot but still in a 5-10 minutes walkable distance from the good restaurants and bars. The room price is pretty decent too. The only bad thing is the shower. The electrical heating showerhead is not installed correctly meaning the grounding wire is not connected wich could possibly result in a electrocution. The good part tho is that it doesnt work anyways so u have to shower cold but u also wont get an electric shock. The pressure is almost nonexistent so u only have a dripping showerhead wich is enough to get yourself clean but it is the exact opposite of a...
Read moreWe have been very happy with our choice to stay at Don Pascual. We stayed three nights here in a basic, but pleasant and clean room. The bed was much more comfortable than the ones we had recently experienced in Mexico! The shower set-up is a bit unusual (not sure if Guatemala has electrical standards which are enforced!), but it did emit hot water.||Don Pascual is a five minute flat walk from the main dock, but it's well-lit at night, and it's great to be away from the main party streets. The main courtyard is neat, and we loved meeting the resident puppy! There is an indoor football field adjacent to Don Pascual, which can be a bit noisy during the evening (goal celebrations and good music), but they always finished up by 10pm every night that we stayed. ||English is not spoken by the owners, but they're happy to help with anything that you need. Any of your travel needs can be met by the numerous travel agencies on the main street. ||Overall, Don Pascual is a great budget option for San Pedro if you're wanting to be near the main bars and restaurants, but away from the late...
