It's a beautiful hotel with amazing people. The staff is incredibly welcoming and accommodating. However, we had a few issues. First, the rooms are small and tight with many windows and sheer curtains. The larger windows without curtains have blinds but they don't close all the way. I know everyone vacations differently but we like to sleep in most mornings considering how much alcohol we consume the night before. With all of this said it's too bright in our room and impossible to be comfortable. Also, because of the sheer curtains, how small the rooms are, and how well they are lit you can look right in and see EVERYTHING! Even the small tiny bathroom has windows in the strangest places. The sliding door for the bathroom is hard to pull open and close. It is so heavy and doesn't close all the way. Two mirrors in the room. if you're doing makeup it's hard as they are further away and no full size mirror to check yourself before walking out. I did want to say that the house keeping lady was amazing and really did a great job. Thank you Marilyn Lagos! Our next issue were the beach towels. The guys there tried their best and this isn't a reflection on them but hopefully the hotel gets it together. They do not have enough beach towels! You should always be stocked and ready for guests to hand you a dirty towel to replace. We were constantly told we dont have anymore go to the next one.. we'd show up at the next towel stop and they would only have one. Or, if we wanted to hand a towel and receive our card back they wouldn't have anymore. Mind you, they charge $25 per lost card. you only receive your card back once you turn in your towel. Most of the time we held onto our sandy wet towels... but fine whatever, wouldn't have given it a bad rating just something to mention, constructive criticism. The BIGGEST Problem was the running water. The sink water always smelled funny. The shower water burned and had a strong odor as well. Eventually the running water in the room smelled like sewage! The color turned BLACK to BROWN and we fell sick. Ended up having to get antibiotics after 2 days of awful torturing pain. When I told the staff of the issue and how sick we were they told us that we have to use filtered water but why weren't we told any of this during check-in, Or why wouldn't they call the room, Flag us, leave a post it, Or when we called the front desk? Instead they stopped answering the phone when we'd call. Honestly, the first hint was the sink and its terrible smell but idk, guess we just didn't put it together. It was fun until the water incident happened. Disappointing vacation to such a beautiful place!

Las Sirenas by Mayan Princess is an amazing 4-star hotel with a a great location at West Bay, one of the best beaches on the island. It has great service with front desk staff being the most friendly I have ever met in my entire life, the buffet has different options at dinner time, and the whole ambience at the hotel is just soothing. The only negative thing I would point out is that the Wi-Fi is slow or no connection at all in the rooms but you won't spend much time in the room anyways rather than just sleeping after spending your entire day at the beach. Get ready for a spectacular escapade at Las Sirenas and it's gorgeous beach front view.

Overall this was a great excursion we did the VIP Beach and the food was amazing the views were amazing the only thing that was a little off was unfortunately the locals are pretty relentless in trying to get you to purchase their goods or services. I understand they need to make a living but at times it was a bit much.

We just got home today! From an amazing 7 day cruise on the Regal Princess with 38 of my family members. One of our ports was Roatan, Honduras, 11 of us booked the TREE TOP CANOPY ADVENTURE WITH BEACH STOP excursion through Shore Trips. "South Shore Canopy Tours" was the end provider of an amazing ziplining experience and beach stop. Which I highly recommend for any one contemplating a ziplining adventure for the first time. We were all first timers ranging in age 65-19...ranging in degrees of fear as well. No need to worry, they were VERY accomodating with those with the most fear and our guides excorted them tandem. We were (13) escorted by (4) very professional zipline guys. From the moment we got off the bus to the beers we had before we left, they were pumping us up, doing tricks with some of our group, and making it really really fun! They will even hold your phone or small camera and take pictures before and along the way! After a great adrenaline rush and with the hot weather, the beach stop was much needed. We all thought we were going to some random beach on the side of the road. No! We ended up here at Mayan Princess Beach & Dive Resort. What a wonderful surprise. This is an amazing resort! So beautiful, we discussed making a trip back just to enjoy this beautiful place. Ive never written a review, and in this case, I felt it was needed. We were all very impressed with the property, staff, food, drinks, and the beach itself was paradise. (and I live in south FL.) Great excursion combo and kudos to all those companies involved. HIGHLY...

I'm taking one star off on the rooms due to the wifi never working. I'm taking another star off from the rooms due to the beds in both the rooms we got Sm2 and Smb2 being extremy loud, it was too much.

I'm taking another star from the service section due to the guy who was almost always serving pizzas at the Macao restaurant. He was extremely rude. It is sad because EVERYONE ELSE except for him were extremely nice. (It is not what you say but also the way and sasinness he said things with, but in his case also what he said was rude)

Location was 5 stars, it was the best part of the beach and you could do many things.

I'm taking 3 stars off due to the previous mentioned things but I will say I still recommend this place and if I was to go back it would probably be to the same place.

If the hotel were to change at least one thing from the previous ones I would hope it is the beds being so loud to the point of it being ridiculous. If it were to change two I would say, get a warning for that guy at the Macao, he really needs to change, a lot of peope were complaining about him.

Also... if you will certainly need wifi while in there, then in that case I would recommend to look somewhere else based on the...
