First, let me start with the price point, I wanted to do the little French cay excursion, you can get it way cheaper at other places if you have your credit card or even better cash, unfortunately I had to choose them as they were the only ones that I can pay for it online as I forgot my card back home and was running out of cash as it was toward the end of my trip. So I did book the excursion for the same day I looked it up, which at that time I thought it was nice that I was able to do so as I was leaving the next day. Anyway, they assigned a driver to take me there and he took a group of 3 with us, honestly I didn’t mind as I was a solo traveller but they never mentioned that I’m going there with other people which some might mind it. I’m not Latin but I do speak Spanish but they didn’t know that as all of our conversations were in English, and when I was in the car I asked the driver how long it’s gonna take us to get there and then he answered in Spanish that he didn’t understand what I said as he doesn’t speak English! I was okay with it but again what if I didn’t speak it, he is supposed to be guid, so make sure you have a translation app even though %95 of the population there speaks English. After all the driver himself was quite all the time but he was nice so no complaints about him. After a 45 minutes drive from west bay, we find out that LFC was closed for the day as they are cleaning the beach! Now, is it their fault it’s closed? Of course not, but it’s their duty as tour operator to know that before they send people there. So we had to drive back, the driver dropped off the other passengers at their resort which was close to LFC and we came back and when I asked them for a refund the guy their insisted on changing me $20 USD because they brought me back!! How that doesn’t even make sense?! The driver had to come back anyway and it’s not my fault that they didn’t do their job properly and make sure the place was open, he said I have to pay the $20 in cash and they will refund the $150 I paid so basically they are refunding only $130, in total I’ve lost about $75 CAD between the $20 charge and the conversion rate from buying USD and then getting it back in CAD. After all, the worst experience I encountered in Roatán, got ripped off, lost money for nothing, and wasted almost 2 hours that I could’ve used to experience something else. They did not even take a chance to show us how to use them they just gave us a waiver to sign but the waiver didnt really explain anything. One of our jetskis ran out of gas not even 15 minuets in. Then one of the people we were with hit a jetski leaving a dent on one jetski. We knew that we would be responsible for the damage but not only did they try and take one of friends purse by force to make sure we paid, they ended up being very rude and at the end took another of our friends phone. We proceeded to argue with them explaining to them that they couldn't just take our personal belongings the way they did.
