The Beach Club San Simon — Restaurant in Roatán

Thoroughly disappointed with Mother’s Day brunch. We booked a week in advance via WhatsApp messages, however, when we arrived they told us that they didn’t have a table for us and that we had to sit at the bar. The hostess and manager did not even apologise for messing up our booking and essentially gave us an ultimatum on either we have the bar or we leave.

Having already travelled from West End to West Bay just for the brunch, We obviously chose to sit at the Bar. It took 15 minutes for anyone to offer us a drink and another 10 to get a menu, this was also after I asked for drinks and a menu.

The food and drinks were good for the price and we did thoroughly enjoy it. However there was a raffle for Mother’s Day and we were not offered tickets and then when we did get tickets, the other half of the ticket was given to someone else, so it didn’t even actually get put in the raffle itself.

There was a woman sat next to us, who had the exact same experience, she had booked, and they had lost her booking also.

The cherry on top however was that two tables that was set up were kept completely empty. The whole time we were there and still empty when we left at 2 o’clock after the brunch. I will say that the food was excellent and the drinks were good, our bartender was also extremely lovely, but the manager didn’t help at all or apologise and should really have better...

We visited the Beach Club last weekend, most times we have been there it has been an enjoyable experience. However, last weekend I had the worse treatment at this establishment. We waited approximately 45mins to get our receipt in order to pay and leave. When we finally got the receipt, the bartender did not even have a pen to sign the credit card voucher! So we had to wait for her to find her pen, another person paying cash was given the wrong change so we had to wait even more to get his correct change. I asked to speak to a supervisor since this delayed had put us at a very uncomfortable time to get a water taxi or cab back to west end. I was hoping the would help us sort a transport back to west end. I was approached by a supervisor called Douglas, he was incredibly rude and condescending, he did not even apologized for our delayed and proceeded to tell me it was not his problem and he could not help us pay the cab or even sort a can for us. He even said we only waited 30mins instead of 45 as if that makes the situation better. This is a wonderful place in west bay but their customer service is awful and will never go back again. Mr Douglas should probably get trained on how to deal with...

San Simón Beach Club has truly perfected the Sunday brunch experience. The food is absolutely amazing — the ceviche is incredibly fresh and delicate, bursting with flavor. The mini waffles make for a great little appetizer, and the quesadillas are an immaculate breakfast choice, perfectly prepared and satisfying.

The bottomless mimosas are another highlight — with multiple fruit juice selections, they add the perfect element to a relaxed, island-style brunch. Combine that with the beautiful beachfront atmosphere, and you have one of the best brunch spots in Roatán....
