5/12/22 Okay well let me start from the beginning. When we arrived on the Ferry there was a gentleman from Paradise Beach hotel his name was Oliver. Let me just say he was friendly and very helpful. So anyways, my wife and I were not on their pick up list for our ride over to the resort. Someone made a mistake and put me under a completely different name. Lucky for us Oliver said don't worry about it you all can still catch a ride with me. Okay great we get to the resort at about 12:00pm we do the check in process and by 12:30 my wife are having lunch. Okay fine they said that the room would be ready by 3:00 pm NOPE room wasn't ready until almost 4:00pm. Listen I'm tired, hot and cranky and I needed my old man nap. Finally in my room which by the way was ok.
The staff with the exception of the front counter ladies were nice. The front counter ladies are nice at check in because their happy swiping my CC for 3 nights at $330 per night.(all inclusive) But after that forget it, they are rude and very unprofessional in my opinion. Oh and I'm not the only one that noticed it other people staying there had the same thing happen to them.(people talk)
Okay so anyway over all the Hotel is Good, food is good, drinks are good, location is great, Caribbean water and sun are awesome. Pool decent size.
Please train your front counter staff on friendliness and hospitality. People pay top dollar to stay in your establishment, lucky for me I am an American that lives in La Ceiba Honduras and I'm able to enjoy Roatan more than others and frequently.
Update July 4th 2022 I gave this establishment another chance (Big Mistake) Once again I had issues with the front desk. I ask them to please add an extra night to my stay so instead of checking out on Tuesday I was checking out on Wednesday. Fine they did that for me and made me aware that I could stay in the same room for both nights. Okay at about 9am I get a loud knock on my door, I let house keeping know that I didn't need room service which she said okay and left. About 1 hr later she comes back and asked me again to which I said no thank you and my check out isn't until Wednesday. At about 12:30pm i get a call from the front desk and was rudly told that i needed to check out if not i would be charged a $40 dollar fee. I explained to the front desk that I extended my stay to which she replies well I don't see any notes. (Umm that's my problem how?) Anyways I to her who checked me in and she said okay i will call you back and verify with her, She never called me back so I called her and she said and I quote "Yeah I spoke with her you fine"
Um excuse what ever happened to, Sir, I'm so sorry for this miscommunication you were correct and we failed to add notes in the system. Please accept my apology for this inconvenience. BUT NOPE!! SHE ACTTED AS THIS WAS ALL MY FAULT!! I WILL NEVER EVER STAY HERE AGAIN!
FIVE STARS GO OUT TO THE BAR AND WAITING STAFF, THE BEACH HELPERS AND ALSO THE SECURITY TEAM.
FRONT DESK GETS ZERO STARS 🌟

A few are unfriendly (not very helpful), like the security guards, but especially the lady who runs the souvenir shop. She's inattentive and lacks service.|No hotel is perfect, but overall, the service is good, but not excellent.|That's why I don't give it 5 stars.||Food||The food is very good. The breakfast buffet meets expectations. You can help yourself to anything you want, and there's a variety: eggs, hams, cheeses, fruits, juice, etc.|The Cayuko restaurant also has good food options, such as seafood.|Be prepared with good dollars because they charge 15% tax + 10% tip. These are not included in the prices; they're extra.||Location||Excellent. It's in the most exclusive location on Roatán. The beach in front of the hotel is spectacular: turquoise water, white sand, calm seas. In short, this part of the island is heavenly.|If you want to do other activities on the island, like going to the glass boat (I recommend it, an excellent experience) or the Mayan Jungle Park (also recommended), etc., you can go to Roatán Activities. It's a kiosk located about 100 meters from the hotel on the beach. The best part is that you can negotiate the price with them.|At West Bay Beach, you can find snorkeling, scuba diving, banana boating, and jet skiing nearby. It's the epicenter of fun. If you're going to Roatán, you have to go to West Bay Beach.||Rooms||Very good, comfortable, spotless, and very clean.|Just as a suggestion, they should put a trash can in the room, because the only one is in the bathroom, and it's very small.|Pool|The pool has many steps below, so you have to be careful. It was also dirty and needs the water changed.||Bus||The shuttle offered to guests from the airport to the hotel and vice versa is very good; the drivers are friendly. It takes about 30 minutes or a little longer to get there, depending on traffic.||Final Recommendations||Ask reception for a map of the island; that will help you find your way. Or you can purchase a roaming package; the phone companies Claro and Tigo are available.|Bring a pachón (water container) because there are water stations at reception and on each level where you can refill water bottles without extra charges.|When you go out to explore the island, bring your pachón (your bottle).||Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent. We were lucky there were almost none, so we weren't bitten very often. I imagined I'd encounter more mosquitoes, but no, there were few.||Don't snorkel or dive if you're not well-trained, because they take you out to sea to see the reef. The glass-bottomed boat is much more comfortable and safer; from there, you'll be able to see it in detail and take...
Read moreWe are a family of 4. We have a 16 yo daughter and an 11 yo son. Our trip to Roatan was booked last minute. I can honestly say, we didn’t expect much given we decided to purchase the trip 2 days before our vacation started. We ended up being ELATED with our choice. The hotel was a perfect blend of resort and nature. The grounds had much foliage allowing for shade and a lovely feel of nature. The pool meandered through the grounds and due to design felt intimate with nice shallow and deeper portions spread out; it was also large enough for my husband and son to toss the football around! There are lovely picture opps throughout the property which is great if your into posting on social media. ||The room was large enough for four, but we are fairly efficient with our packing. There isn’t a ton of space for luggage. It’s best suited for carryons and personal items as opposed to large under luggage. There is a nice balcony off the room which makes the area feel more spacious. The way the hotel is laid out the rooms in the garden area feel very secluded despite the hotel being full when we were there.||The shuttle service times can be a bit limited. We chose to purchase a cab to go to airport. Save about $40-50 if you think you want to do a cab.||Breakfast was very nice. My husband and son loved it. I wish they served bacon more frequently but other than that it was solid. The restaurant and bar was quite tasty. They have drink specials and possibly food specials daily. Food was EXCELLENT the couple of times we ate there||All of staff was friendly and helpful but Edwin G stood out as a superb wait staff and he really just seems to love what he does. ||The beach is quite lovely. EXCELLENT snorkeling if you walk to the left on the beach, go until the hotels end. You see a cliff wall, it’s a 10 minute walk max. You can rent snorkels from locals. And snorkel along the cliff wall.||The water taxis cost $5 a person (minimum of 4 people for it to run). Highly recommend taking one to West End for dinner one night (try the Drunken Sailor, best Italian we’ve ever had!!).||Shopping is available. Recommend going to the right on the beach and meandering up the first alley to the right. Cute shops and a great taco place past all the shops. There’s also a shopping center and cafe if you walk along the road. And there’s a a great little organic fruit shop that has homemade jams, plantain chips, fresh squeezed juices (that is on the opposite side of the road to the left, I think it was called Fresca maybe)||I never take the time to write reviews but we just adored this trip and our stay at Paradise Beach. I had to give others info in hopes you can enjoy it as much as we did.||Happy Vacationing...
