Hello downtown Apartments - Movie — Hotel in Budapest

Avoid at any cost||I typically leave positive feedback, but in this instance, I am still in shock over my experience. While the apartment was generally clean, the shower was slightly dirty, which I overlooked. However, the bedroom had two large holes in the window, which I assume were intended to address the lack of air conditioning. Unfortunately, these holes caused significant noise disturbances, and even with earplugs, I struggled to get any sleep. Additionally, the bedsheets were in poor condition and so worn that I had to rely on my own travel bed sheets, thankfully available.||Another concerning issue was that the cleaner in the neighboring apartment was handling an extremely foul-smelling mattress, which had an odor of urine, in the shared corridor. This was very disruptive and unpleasant for other guests.||Aside from the convenient central location, I do not feel that this apartment was worth booking. I even chose to leave a night earlier than my reservation, but despite the circumstances, I was informed there would be no refund, which I find unacceptable. HORRIBLE. When we arrived at the location, the door was unlocked and the apartment was a mess. The bed was unmade, cigarettes spread around the room, personal items from previous guests in the bathroom, towels used and in the floor. When we called the host, they said they where waiting for us to arrive to let us know that the previous host did not check-out on time and they could not clean the apartment. Apparently they did not think of warning us before we arrived, and claimed they could not find a soul in Budapest to clean the apartment. However, they let us know that we are free to use the apartment as it is, which is the most unreal proposition I've ever had. We were supposed to use the apartment with unclean bed sheets, towels, floor, and garbage everywhere. How kind... (sarcasm). Of course, we let them know we would not be using the apartment and they either gave us an alternative or cancel the booking. They eventually cancelled the booking and we were left in Budapest at 7pm without accommodation. This was the worst situation I've ever been in regards to accommodation, with complete disregard and disrespect...
