Buddha Original — Restaurant in Budapest

I was extremely disappointed with my experience trying to order from Buddha Restaurant. In 2025, it’s shocking that there’s no way to place an order online—no website ordering system, no mobile app, and to make matters worse, they don’t even answer the phone. I tried calling multiple times during opening hours and got no response whatsoever. In today’s fast-paced, digital world, this lack of accessibility and poor customer service is completely unacceptable. We had some tasty sushi here. I was happy with them.

Service was a tiny bit slow (we knew what we want, mentioned it when arrived, and still waited 15 minutes for the waiter to ask for our order). There were only two other people in the restaurant and they ordered 7 minutes before us. (we could see this info on the restaurant's computer) Kitchen staff were smiling, while we peaked in to see our dinner getting prepared. The child seat was super dirty (sticky and dusty), it was not offered to us and we only got help with it when trying to put it back to it's place.

Decided to try this place because my favorite Thai restaurant in the area was closed on Monday. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao. It was quite expensive compared to other Thai restaurants in the area (4000 huf) so I expected the portion to be much larger, but it was actually smaller and very mediocre. Didn’t even taste like Pad Kee Mao I’ve had elsewhere and was very unsatisfying. I can’t speak for the sushi here but the Thai noodle dish was extremely underwhelming.
