Myself and my friend usually dine here for lunches, and the quality of the food is good. Yet, recently the prices have increased and value, quantity, and customer services have significantly reduced, which is very disappointing. I ordered my usual fried Khan beef rice, and despite the price hikes, the quality and quantity has reduced. My friend ordered the pho ga soup, which was good, but we were disappointed that the chefs boiled a plastic wrapping, and didn't bother to check the quality and safety of their food. My friend could have choked herself, but luckily she bit the plastic and was surprised how long it was. I called out one of the younger servers, and showed this plastic and asked for the manager, and it took a while for him to take notice. The manager was apologetic and offered to change the bowl, but by then, my friend wasn't hungry anymore, and took the replaced small bowl as take out. Lastly, one of my friends often ate their fried rice almost every lunchtime 5 days in a row for a year. He cannot eat mushrooms in the rice, so he always asked to replace the shitake with basic chilli's, but every time they charged him extra, he had complained about this practice often, and there was no success. Hence, he doesn't order from Khan, unless he has too. We are not concerned about the few forint charges, but if one requests to replace a particular item to another item that isn't so pricey or going beyond extent, the restaurant should at least inform the customer an extra charge will be present, despite the menu will have one less key ingredient from the dish. Hence, when in Khan or its branches, ensure to check for extra charges, and always ask the servers before confirming...
Read moreI don't consider myself a picky person when it comes to food but there are times when my expectations are bit higher thanks to other reviews and the pictures I've seen of the place. KHAN has been on my "must visit restaurants" list for a while now and sadly it did not deliver. The food was great, the interior is pretty and the waiter was nice but it wasn't extraordinary. I ordered a saucy noodle - vegetables were fresh, the noodle was a bit watery and the sauce wasn't strong enough but overall I enjoyed the meal and couldn't even finish because the portion was quite big. I've tried my boyfriend's and friends' dishes as well, theirs were good enough as well. Sadly the prices screamed "I should be better" - one plate/bowl is around 4-5k + service fee. I'd consider this overpriced when I think about what we got. It felt a bit crowded, the kitchen was right next to us and we ended up smelling like food. I don't regret visiting KHAN but I...
Read moreMom and I traveled from Texas to visit my sister in Budapest🤠..she invited us to Khan's, a Vietnamese restaurant and oh wow, everything we tried was wonderful and freshly prepared. The pork spring rolls and dipping sauce were out if this world. Best ever👍🏻 We also has a fresh sliced cucumber salad with garlic and sesame oil..so tasty and wonderful. Then we had chicken fried rice, chicken and noodle soup and fried noodles with beef. All amazing dishes.
We went around 3:30 pm to eat...so there was plenty of tables and we sat outside to enjoy a beautiful day.
Service was wonderful and restaurant offered menus in Hungarian and English.
We enjoyed hot jasmine tea, and a combination of fresh lemonade- passion fruit with mint leave. Love the flavor of this lemonade.
This restaurant is located in district 13th, near my sister's office. Residential area and pleasant environment.
