We have been to this place several times since 2021. It is pity to see it decreasing in quality. We have had best Korean Style Wings there, Burgers were always amazing and main courses were looking as close to fine dining as it gets for this restaurant. We always had this place for a sure pick to bring friends or family for a nice dinner. It was until tomorrow. To ours, sad, suprice came harsh reality. Menu looks like from cheap foodtruck, made of thin paper torn and used by many customers before. They were using binders in a past. I had to return beef sandwich to the kitchen, which had burned meat and muchrooms looking like straight from deepfrier. Kids meals containes literally zero vegetables. Assuming that kids don't like veggies is just pure greed imo. Burgers were just ok in taste, but it is only one good thing about it. Those were looking so much medicore it was hard for me to belive that I am at same place I prazed before. It is shame and just sad. My nephew got food poisoning out of shrimp salad he had there and spend half of the night in a toilet. That being said for a rather high price you get food that is medicore at best and just a mere shadow of what was served in past. Save your time and money and go for Olsen Olsen or Hamburgarabúllan Tómasar. You at least will get what...
Read moreAn absolutely lovely space with delicious food.
It's funny to walk into a hotel restaurant in the smallish (but charming!) town of Keflavik and wish your restaurant-filled hometown had a place like this. It's a themed mix of cozy, eclectic, and hip. Really comfortable seating.
Iceland in general takes its food very seriously and everything I've had at sit-down restaurants (everywhere in-country) is prepared with exquisite care. I recommend you always have the local fish in Iceland, and I did, and it was superb. An arctic char, I think.
I usually don't drink in Iceland (very expensive & it's long drives everywhere) but indulged in a cocktail here and though my (very nice) server also made the drink at this quiet lunch hour & looked hesitant about her effort, it was delicious.
There's a coffee bar on the outside of the restaurant, and some casual seating outside to have your coffee in nice weather. The hotel space is attached to what looks like conference / multi-use space.
Definitely stop here if you're in this corner of Iceland. And dining in Keflavik in general is the move if you're headed to the airport and...
Read moreSeems super new. I had brunch while I waited for my room. A mimosa, coffee and eggs Benedict with Salmons cost me 3000 kr. Went for dinner during happy hour and they almost wouldn't take me even though I was a solo diner who said I'd sit anywhere. I was willing to sit in the lounge but they didn't like the idea of me eating there. Lots of people around me waited ages for drinks and food but mine came really quick. During happy hour some cocktails are 1300 kr and the house wine is 900. The wine is a very healthy pour. Ordered fish and chips and it was delicious as was the brunch earlier in the day. They did screw up my bill. They added someone else's wine and forgot to give me happy hour pricing. They fixed it and didn't charge me for the wine. The atmosphere is amazing and it's super trendy, so hopefully they work out the kinks. The manager seemed super aggressive as I was having brunch during their morning meeting. I think the servers are a bit frightened of him because they seem so afraid of screwing up that they end up doing it...
