I have never been so disappointed. I am giving it a one star rating cause i couldn’t give negative marking. The only and only complaint i have is about the night guard who passed filthy comments and vulgar remarks thinking that we don’t understand Bengali language. This person was very rude when my friend left 15 mins late after the dead line that was 10:00pm after having dinner with my mom and me (please note that we were uninformed of the dead line until then).The guard refused to open the gate after several requests he finally agreed to open the gate while still progressing with crude comments about my entire society accompanied with “all people from hills are like this”. Gorkha Bhawan is the facility where you can book hotels, homestays, and trekking huts in Darjeeling, Sikkim, and some areas in Nepal. Also, trekking permits for Sandakphu, Phalut, Gorkhey, etc. are available from here. I visited here to book hotels and trekkers for our tour plan in this Durga puja, but the booking will be available from the end of July. The staffs are very helpful and cooperative. Hence I suggest all, planning to trek or tour these destinations should visit here for seamless booking. The rooms are quite spacious as per the rates.
