I recently visited this place after 5 years and must say that this restaurant has almost become like the ‘Olypub of Salt Lake’. You can minus the background music if you want(because there is no background music here).. The crowd that comes to this restaurant has even changed with time,mostly owing to the fact that liquor is cheap. With the rapid growth of gastropubs in and around Salt Lake,this place has not evolved that much. The washrooms need a lot of rework and redesigning.The ambience needs a hell lot of rework.A dedicated smoking zone is a must these days + some minute changes needed as well. The one thing I have always liked about this place is the waiters who have been working here since ages and have always been very courteous. Silver Sands Restaurant and Bar is situated near City Centre ( just 2 mins away).. we accidentally went there and found out to be a cheap gem in the heart of the city ...

The ambience and decor was well maintained and repaired very well .. beautiful decorated.. the crowd was sophisticated.. The restaurant never remained empty ,it was always filled with guests and yet somehow not crowded.. the ambience was very nice.. they have live screening of cricket match..

The alcohol and food was available in cheap prices as compared to other posh pubs in the town... we ordered chicken basket in food items and it was delicious and the quantity was well enough for the price..

The service was commendable.. the staffs were cordial and friendly and is always available for your service..

It was indeed a great place to visit colleagues after office and also with friends when u want to enjoy together but have a tight money... A great place to spend...

This is one of the oldest Bar cum Restaurant in Salt lake. I loved this place. The food is very testy and price is also very reasonably competitive to others restaurants in salt lake. Location is also very prominent just opposite of city centre exit gate. But I think service is very good and need improvement including attitude of service boy Went there solo to enjoy Chicken Drumsticks with Whiskey. Heard about this place from friends and colleagues. Food and liquor prices are pocket-friendly. Not suitable for very large groups. Have a separate smoking enclosure. For some reason, the staff assigned to me was visibly rude - but service was okay. Lighting could have been better- but it's more of a watering hole than a bar/cum restaurant. For people visiting solo, this is a great place as there are many corner seats available to enjoy your food and liquor in peace. Food quality was okay. They provided normal drinking water separately...
