Hotel Ashish — Hotel in Gujarat

I loved this hotel. There were a couple of negatives but the positives well outweighed them. The most wonderful thing for me was that it was so clean! Without a doubt one of the cleanest places I stayed during my whole two months in India. The reception staff (including Hasan Abbas) were really kind and helpful, and they spoke perfect English too. The other staff around the hotel were also really nice. The hot water doesn’t seem to be from a geezer, so it never ran out and it was so lovely and hot. The location is pretty good - the main bus station and train station are both walkable within about half an hour, and the hotel is conveniently positioned to get out and about to lots of Ahmedabad’s sights (you can get shared or private tuktuks right outside the door, and the bus stop is a minute’s walk away). It’s also close to places to eat, and a bakery with a huge selection of cakes is next door! The only real downside for me is that it’s right on a busy road. So you have the choice of a quiet room without a window, or a room with a lovely big window but some noise from the road. Sound proofing isn’t terrible though, so it could be a lot worse than it is. I recently stayed at this hotel and overall, I had a pleasant experience. The amenities and service were top-notch, and I would highly recommend it to others.

However, there are a few areas that need improvement. Firstly, the receptionist should double-check the booking details to ensure that guests are allocated the correct type of bed (double or single).

Additionally, one of the room service staff would often enter the room without waiting for a response after knockin. Moreover, one of the receptionists (the one with a beard) could benefit from improving their professional demeanor.

Another thing to note is that room service is not available between 12am and 7am, which might be inconvenient for some guests. Also, the hotel's location in the Mirzapur area means that the surrounding streets are quiet after 8pm, with only non-veg shops available post that time.

Despite these minor issues, I would still recommend this hotel for its overall quality...

Stayed there for 4 days for some business work. Here's the things we did not like:

1. No window
2. They give unfiltered tap water as drinking water!
3. Bad quality jam and butter used in buffet breakfast. So be careful.
4. Huge water leakage from hand shower of bathroom.
5. The manager was rude and did not know how to welcome a guest. While checking in at afternoon, we asked the manager, whether the bathroom and room are properly clean or not. He replied, No there's lot of mud and slug in the bathroom and bedsheets are very old and dirty. I would request the owner to educate your manager atleast.

One evening we asked reception to send water to our room, but they did not send. Then we left for a meeting. When we returned and asked for the water again, their staff filled the jug in front of us right from the kitchen tap, where utensils were washed.
