So fab hotel works on the model of tying up with 2nd parties to create their chains across locations. We stayed at one such 2nd party hotel in Lakdikapul. Now this was a budget hotel with very basic rooms in an old building. But if you look up at pictures on sites of fab hotel Lakdikapul, you will see very different rooms. They have put up pictures of their executive suite rooms from some other branch on their website, and this is very misleading. The budget rooms in this 2nd party hotel looked nothing like the ones presented on the booking sites.
We decided to check out after only 4 hours because the room was really not nice, and had a bit of a squabble at the reception because they wanted us to pay for one whole night and we refused.
When we called the fab hotel customer care, they offered the worst service. And just kept asking to pay and telling that there is no other way. Eventually, the 2nd party hotel guys decided to come to a settlement and reduced the amount for us, so we also gave in and agreed.
But with the advance amount paid during booking + early check-in charges + the reduced amount, we still ended up paying the amount for one night. So it was still a terrible deal for us. Paying Rs.1700 for 4 hours in a very poor room was such a waste.
My issue is not so much with the 2nd party hotel in Lakdikapul as much as with fab hotel group itself who puts up misleading pictures, does not set the standards while tying up with 2nd parties, nor equips the 2nd party hotel with amenities they are promising to offer to the customers, and instead offers such terrible customer service at the end.
My suggestion to fab hotel group would be to offer realistic pictures on all the sites of the all respective 2nd party undertakings so travellers know what to expect and are getting into, instead of being misled with executive room pictures. Secondly if you plan to tie up with a 2nd party, ensure they match the standards you are promising to your customer. And if you have undertaken with a 2nd party, support them to set up the place according to your standards. Finally, please strengthen your customer...
Read moreThe total experience was terrible. I could have rated zero or negative if there was an option. It is a total waste of money to stay at fab hotels. Even 2 star hotels are better than this. ROOMS AND FACILITY ISSUES The rugs and blankets were not clean. The restrooms were all in disarray; filthy, unclean restrooms; you'll be hesitant to even touch the faucet in the bathroom. There were rats roaming and running inside a room. When I informed reception of this, they didn't even care. They looked surprised when I informed them about this. No proper room locks, no safety for your things.
Please find the pictures attached for references. EMPLOYES AND SAFETY ISSUES: During our stay at 6pm, there was continued ringing of door bells, and there were complete strangers in my room, and they were like trying to enter my room by saying "we came for bathroom maintenance Allow us in". I was shocked. There was no one from reception to go with them. And when I called reception, they acted like fools, saying, "Please let them in. They have only had 5 mints work". They wanted to get all the payment done before hand and couldn't wait when I told them that the remaining amount would be paid at the time of checkout, but they didn't listen and asked me to do payment first before I went inside the room. During our check in, they entered room number 301 in the tablet/fab interface and assigned us 201. When we questioned it, they said it was just a formality and that both rooms were the same. If both are the same, why are they recoding wrong information?
Dear FAB hotels: Are you really running a hotel chain with such good service? When your CEO or any of your employees travel to other cities, can they stay in fab hotel chains? We saw the fab hotel website's fake reviews and pictures and had no other choice but to pay the amount online, which was the biggest mistake. I will surely let all my friends and relatives know about the terrible and very bad services and amenities provided by you. Don't ever visit or decide to stay at this begrimed place. No words, just don't even look at this...
Read moreI had a bad experience with Fabhotel Royal Residency. I booked a room online through the Agoda app. My check-in time was 12:00 PM, but I arrived at the hotel 1 hour and 30 minutes early. For this early check-in, they demanded an extra 500 rupees. I paid because I didn’t have another option. I assumed, based on my past experiences with other hotels, that checking in at 11:00 AM would be acceptable, so I arrived at the hotel around 10:10 AM. My check-out was scheduled for August 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM. However, due to an emergency, I decided to check out early on the same day at 10:10 PM.
When I approached the reception for check-out, there was a shift change. The employee from the morning wasn't there, and there were new staff members present, including someone I assume was the manager. I explained that I had paid an extra 500 rupees for early check-in and, since I was checking out early, I casually asked if I could have a refund. However, they argued with me, questioning if I had really paid the extra amount and asking for a slip as proof. Their tone was unprofessional, which made me upset. Moreover, I believe guests should not have to know each and every detail; the hotel staff should be guiding and informing guests properly. Their main oversight was that the 500 rupees I had paid wasn't recorded in their register. It seemed the employee who took the money did not record it, and may have just pocketed the amount. This is clearly a mistake on their part. The manager did not seem to manage or guide the staff properly, resulting in a completely unprofessional interaction.
I would advise others to avoid visiting the Fabhotel Royal Residency in Lakadikapul, Hyderabad, which is near the Rayalaseema...
