Metro stations have staircases, elevators and escalators from the street level to the platform level which provide easy and comfortable access. Also, operation panels inside the elevators are installed at a level that can be conveniently operated by all passengers, including differently-abled and elderly citizens. This is the first level where passengers may park their vehicles and view the local area map. Please ensure that you place your feet firmly on the escalator while stepping on it. Please do not manually climb the stairs while the escalator is operational to avoid accidents. Keep to your left and hold the hand-rail firmly to maintain balance. In case you are not comfortable using the escalator, you may use staircase. If you are travelling with children, please hold their hands when using the escalator. Next, the passengers will move into the Concourse level where it is segregated by the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gates into non-paid and paid sections. AFC gates allow easy wheelchair access too. Wheelchairs will be available in all Metro stations. You can buy tokens and smart cards for travelling at the ticketing office or at Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs). Retail outlets and other facilities like washrooms, ATMs, first aid, etc., will be available in this area. For a seamless travel experience, we recommend passengers to travel using a smart card that can be purchased online using TSavaari App or from the ticketing office at any of our stations. Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) in non- paid area and Automatic Vending Machines (AVMs) in the paid area may be used to add money to your smart card. Audio instructions will guide you about the smart card top up process. It is our aim to provide a comfortable journey to our passengers. Our stations are well equipped with information and signage to guide you in and out of the Metro station. Tactile floor signage will assist visually impaired passengers to navigate through the station. Information about the train network, station facilities, passenger do’s and don’ts, entry and exit signage and local area maps are available at all Metro stations. KoThis is where passengers board the train. We have designed the platforms to facilitate differently-abled and elderly passengers so that they may on-board and off-board the train with ease. Passenger information display boards at the concourse and platform level provide real time information to passengers. Audio announcements inform passengers about train arrivals and delays or disruptions in the train network. We have four Help-Points at all Metro platforms which enable passengers to contact the Station Controller in case of an emergency. The Emergency Evacuation Plan (EEP) signage will assist passengers during an emergency. Please contact our station staff for any assistance. Metro train platforms are designed keeping in mind the safety and security of our passengers. A yellow line on the floor of the platform will alert you to maintain a safe gap from train tracks, when the train has not arrived at the platform. Passengers are requested to form a queue and let the passengers inside the train off board before onboarding the train.

nice travel with metro where u can save time and money and reach ur destination as early as possible. thanks for the really nice and affordable service. Urban rail transit in India plays an important role in intracity transportation in the major cities which are highly populated. It consists of rapid transit, suburban rail, monorail and tram systems. According to a report published in 2021, a total of 2.63 billion people travelled annually in metro systems across India's fifteen major cities, placing the country as one of the busiest urban rapid transit hubs in the world in terms of ridership. The combined length of 810 kilometres (500 miles) of metro systems in India makes it the fourth longest in operation in the world. The first-ever mode of the urban rail transit system in India was commuter rail (or suburban rail), built in Mumbai on 16 April 1853. The first passenger train was flagged off from Bori Bunder (present-day Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai) from where it travelled to Thane, covering a distance of 34 km in an hour and fifteen minutes. This made it the Asia's first suburban railway.[3] At the turn of the 20th century, tram systems began to sprawl across the four major cities of India, viz. Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai, and helped local population to meet their intracity transportation needs. Horse-drawn tram was first introduced in Kolkata in 1873 and the electric trams began to operate in Chennai in 1895, later the cities of Mumbai, Kanpur, and Delhi saw trams being introduced. These services were discontinued in all Indian cities between 1933 and 1964, except for Kolkata where they operate on streets to the present day. The first concept of an urban rapid transit system in Delhi came out during 1969,when a traffic and travel characteristics study was conducted. The bus systems which catered the public transportation in the city added to the traffic problems, this soon became a growing concern. The concepts for an urban transit system were considered as the need for the country's capital. After planning, a proposal was made in 1984, which revealed plans for constructing three underground corridors and augmentation of the existing suburban rail system. The construction began on 1 October 1998 and the first line was operational on 24 December 2002. With 348.12 kilometres (216.31 mi), the Delhi Metro went on to be the longest and by far the busiest metro system in India. While the political capital of India was expanding on its success by constructing new metro lines, suburban railways remained as the dominant mode of transport in the financial capital, Mumbai. According to Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) the city bus services operating in narrow and crowded areas of the city were slow-moving and caused traffic congestion hence a rapid transit system was necessary. Since the city already had planned metro services and since the suburban railways also connected major parts of the city, a feeder system to these services was proposed in the form of Monorail.[12] After the construction was completed, On 1 February 2014, Mumbai Monorail became the first of its kind in India. There are multiple metro manufacturers in India, Under the Union Government's Make in India program, 75% of the rolling stock procured for use on Indian metro systems are required to be manufactured in India. The subject of Railways is in the Union List of the Seventh Schedule of the Constitution, giving Parliament the exclusive power to enact legislation concerning it. According to former Minister of Urban Development Kamal Nath, "Since the Metro rail is a central subject, it has been decided that all such projects in...

It has International standards. It is showing greatness of India and keeping india as developing nations. Currently, the Hyderabad Metro has 48 stations. Phase I of the Hyderabad metro has 64 stations; they have escalators and elevators to reach the stations, announcement boards and electronic display systems. The stations also have service roads underneath them to for other public transportation systems to drop-off and pick-up passengers.55] The signboards of Hyderabad Metro are displayed in Telugu, English, Hindi and Urdu at metro stations.[56]

Otis Elevator Company supplied and maintains the 670 elevators in use on the system.[57]

In May 2018, L&T Metro Rail signed a contract with Powergrid Corporation of India to install electric vehicle charging facilities at all metro stations beginning with Miyapur and Dr. B R Ambedkar Balanagar stations.[58 L&THMRL has setup free wifi access units for commuters at Miyapur, Ameerpet and Nagole metro stations, in association with ACT Fibernet, as part of a pilot project.60 Metro Rail Phase II expansion plan is for about 85 km.[62] In April 2019, K. T. Rama Rao said that 200 kilometres (120 mi) of metro rail was planned for Hyderabad, with metro along entire Outer Ring Road.[63] All metro corridors are scheduled to terminate at Shamshabad, near Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, as planned in Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-II.[64] In August 2019, KT Rama Rao said that state cabinet has approved the Hyderabad Metro Airport Express Link from Raidurg to the airport.[65] Security checkup is more secured than airports, somebody is feeling uncomfortable, it’s response from people. How government has given permission to management likewise international airports. Please try to another method for security check, otherwise people will hate you. Rest of the service is good. They should improve safety in...
