The Saifabad Mint Museum, set up in June 2022, is a part of the India Government Mint that produces and supplies coins to the Reserve Bank of India. The museum showcases the world of coins with historical facts and replicas/originals of the equipment used over the years to mint the coins. Coins and currency notes used since Independence, but now obsolete are also on display. The coins include those that were used by the Mughals, the Nizams and other rulers. The piéce de résistance of the museum is undoubtedly the replica of the largest/heaviest good coin of 11 kilogram issues by the Mughal emperor Jahangir and the famous silver rupees issued by Sher Shah Suri.
