Megha Residency — Hotel in Karnataka

I booked this hotel for my family (myself,wife,mom & Aunt. They were new to Mangalore so i was searching a hotel which is near to Railway Station. I read mixed reviews about this hotel so while booking i had 50-50 mind about this Hotel. But Must say This hotel is very safe, Neat and clean. We reached Mangalore at 8.30. i called at reception and they guided the route (also they sent one person to pick us). its hardly 5 minute walk from station. The Hotel manager was so supportive. Since i booked the room through "OYO" my check in time was 12pm. but they gave the room by 9 itself. Room was very big, neat and clean. They provided Hot water and best room service. The only bad thing i found is food. breakfast they provided was not so great.||||Pros :||1) Location - you can access any place from this hotel. Also its walkable distance from Railway Station||2) Staff - Very Supportive staff, they will assist you anytime for any help||3) Room - Big rooms, Neat and clean. 24 hrs Hot water availble||4) Good Management - Owner of this hotel and manager treat you like a family memer||5) Safety - Very safe hotel, middle of the city. We had to visit mangalore in May 2015 for a function. Stayed in Megha Residency for 2 nights. The best part of this hotel is its location at humpankatta junction. Fr8m this hotel, City Centre mall is just a 5 minute walk. The Taj Mahal restaurant which is a very good vegetarian restaurant is just behind this hotel. Milagres church is again behind this hotel. Mangalore railway station and Humpankatta bus stand are very near. This hotel only provides stay. If you want to order food, they help in ordering from nearby restaurants. We stayed is an Ac room which was not very great. For someone who wants a stopover and is only looking for an overnight stay, this hotel is ok. There is a busy road just outside this hotel and there is no space for any recreation. The reception staff were very helpful though and gave us good information on the local sightseeing spots. We even kept our luggage at their reception on the checkout day for a few hours and they took care. So overall thisnis only for stay and suited for someone who is looking for using as...

The hotel is situated in the city centre, making it easily accessible to shopping centres by walk. The rooms are relatively spacious including the bathroom. We had booked a Double Occupancy (AC) through goibibo; when we arrived the receptionist allotted us a Triple bed (AC) room with no additional charge as the Double occupancy was full (feels amazing?). I wonder what they would have done if the triple bed room was full as well. I expect that IF I BOOK A ROOM THEN IT HAS TO BE BLOCKED FOR ME (and not allow it to get full) STRANGE!!! But luckily we got a better room. ||There is no restaurant attached with this residency and you have to manage the food from nearby restaurants. However, they offer to get the food right to your room, if you order!. ||The biggest flip-side of the rooms were cleanliness; The linen was torn with stains and things like that. The toilet was average in terms of cleanliness. The staff however are very supportive and are at your service immediately. Overall an average place for a stay at...
