Worst is very small word for hotel woodland. ||Poor Hotel policy: Firstly, they don't bother about guests. We were waiting for our room allocation at 10.30 in night and we were told to fill up the big form they had at the time of check-in ||Poor Reception: Then, we were allotted wrong room and asked to take our bags ourselves to the room as staff was busy elsewhere|When we arrived at our allotted room, we tried our keys but it didn't open. Also, we could hear someone inside the room with TV on. So we then went back to receiption, they realised they have allotted wrong room. But what if we have got into the room, who will be responsible for their guests privacy.|Poor management:|Finally we were realloted a room on a different floor. It was smelling not so good. It was very hot room. We asked for AC room but they asked for huge amount to upgrade. So we decided to go ahead with non AC. But Then we realised the beds were not appropriate. It was a twin bed system and cannot be joined, it creates a big gap in between. On enquiring, we were told that they don't have single double bed mattress in any room. Now, how on earth someone is supposed to sleep on small twin bed(middle partitioned).|We somehow managed for the night.|Poor Infrastructure:|At 4 am suddenly the electricity went off. When we checked from the window it was only ours. So we called Reception and they took some time to restore the electricity.|However, it was not over yet. It went off again in 20 mins and I had to yell at the reception. They apologized and restored back in 5 mins. And for god's sake, it went off again and I burst into anger. They sent someone to our room at 4.30 am(pls note) to request us to shift us to another room. ||This time we got a proper bed which they earlier denied that there are no such rooms available in this hotel with joint bed. We caught some sleep, got fresh in the morning and thought of taking sip of tea/coffee. But to our surprise even the water boiler was spoiled and not in a condition to use. Read moreBased on my experience during my last stay in this hotel some 8-9 years ago I booked one double room for a nights stay. This time I could see and feel that the hotel had changed for the worst. To start with As we entered the hotel at about 3.45 pm, the lobby was almost dark. There were no lights and no activity of any sort in the lobby. Totally empty and on a Saturday afternoon. Gave me and my wife a very depressed and lonely feeling. We were allotted Room 107 on first floor. On entering the room we found that there were no towels in toilet and no water bottles. Any way these were brought to us in some time. the room was clean but needed lot of maintenance. At many places wall paper had been torn. Recent plaster had not been painted, None of the appliances were working properly. The TV,Fan, Ac and refrigerator were not working properly. The fan at low speed made lot of noise. None of the remotes of any appliance were in working condition. In fact the TV remote did not have batteries at all. Some of the plug points too were not working and as such could not charge our phones properly. The toilet was just with one small soap and no other toiletries. Funniest part came while taking a shower. I started the shower the water came from the tap and when I start the tap water came flowing from both the tap and shower. So even there was a malfunction in the toilet. Further neither in the evening nor in the morning there was no hot water. I requested the reception at least twice to send some one to attend to some of the problems but even after waiting for 2 hours no one came to attend to the problems. At last we had to leave for a function so we left without problem being attended to. Luckily we came back late night and checked out early morning so we avoided having further trouble. However since there was no hot water at 7 am in the morning we checked out without having proper bath. I don't think there is a wi-fi as we were not informed while checking in. The breakfast had a limited veg spread which was ok but again funny part was they don't have a policy of serving toast. You have to have just plain bread. Location is good. For the price paid by us I of the view the hotel was not worth at all. They need drastic changes in all departments especially house keeping. Read moreWe checked into hotel woodland on 16th jan(2X rooms 6 guests) the hotel passed a statement which was really futile.According to the hotel even though I had booked for 6 guests they said they have a reservation of only 4 guests which clearly shows it isn’t my problem. having made the booking through MakeMyTrip it turned out to be a disaster as the customer care executives didn’t even bother talking to me.As it was late night and time had already slipped we were allotted 2X rooms which could straightly adopt only 4 guests but Never mind we did adjust the next morning we found leakages every where in the washrooms,after having a word with the room service nearly 6 times he turned up after 3 hrs which made no sense. To sum it up I’d say the location of this hotel is good but there are a lot of stuff which they have to look out for. Don’t make the same mistake choose ‘Quality over quantity ‘.I hope this review helps you allocating your thoughts before you book a room in this hotel.||P.S: We didn’t pay for the 2 guests they termed extra as it was their fault as much as I wanted to have a word with the senior managers my efforts were given futile...
