Had one of the most pleasant hotel experiences in my life at Gangaur, the staff is the most incredibly friendly people we've met in Udaipur, if you go say hello to Manu for me. When checking out, I wanted to go to an ATM, that day every ATM in the city were empty, after taking longer than usual for an ATM visit, Manu got worried and came to my rescue, he found me at the end of town at the last ATM and drove me back to the hotel. The service was above and beyond, we felt very safe and welcomed. They recomended great Tuk Tuk drivers, and showed us all the places to visit.
The restaurant upstairs rocked as well, some of the best food in Udaipur, you actually see Indians eating there! They off western food as well for those days where international travel is a bit rough. They were also very good with allergies.
Rooms were clean and spacious, TV has lots of great american channels for a...
Read moreWe stayed there for 3 days while visiting Udaipur. This was an old haveli turned into a hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend this place for people who are looking for a budget friendly accomodation in the prime location. This place is just beside the Gangaur ghat where you can relax by the side of Pichola lake or can visit Bagore ki Haveli. City palace, Jagdish temple and few more attractions can be covered on foot from here. You can take a auto ride to travel the rest of the attractions of the city. There is also a rooftop resturant that serves both veg and non-vegeterian food in affordable price. All the staffs are friendly and helpful. Compated to the hotels we stayed so far, I would say this is a nice option...
Read moreExtraordinary experience! A great place to stay at. The hotel is a 300 year-old haveli. Staying there was an exotic experience.
The rooms in this old haveli have rich and artistic ambience- a fine blend of the old and the contemporary.
The palace roof top affords excellent view of the Pichola lake and many other architectural wonders of Udaipur. The visual delight became every more enchanting when the electric illumination of these wonders brightened in contrast to the descending darkness. There is a restaurant too on the roof top. To dine there is to invite the sublime. The staff has very warm attitude. They are eager to help and give us a taste of the great welcoming-culture of Rajasthan. No wonder we felt...
