WORST WORST STAY EVER !!! NIGHTMARE !!!

Let me put in detail,

Date of stay: 12th Sep, 2024 to 15th Sep, 2024

I've booked 2 rooms for 3 nights 1 month back asking for late check-out for one room(to checkout by 2.30pm) they have agreed on that day. The day before checkin I've called them for confirmation and they denied it, and asked me to pay half of the price for extended stay. After so much argument, and after I've said that I'll cancel my stay and search another one they have agreed for extended stay with no additional charges.

The day we have checked in, immediately the reception guys started pushing me to pay entire amount for the stay, I've paid half of the amount, but he insisted on full payment. I didn't pay.

In one of our room AC isn't working, we have called them and they came cleaned filter and still it's not working, had a very bad sleep as we are already tired and it became suffocating. They said they will repair it next day, again same thing on the next day as well. On 2nd day evng, we were asked to shift to another room, there also AC isn't working!!!

They said they will get it repaired on that next day, at night when we reached hotel, they mentioned technician isn't available so they didn't get it repaired. So we had to sleep in the same suffocating room after a tiring day

Another issue: They don't have geysers in every room, whenever you need to have hot water bath, you need to call them and wait 30mins to get "Slightly WARM Water" Which gets finished after 10mins. Again you need to call and ask.

Conclusion:

AC's and Water heater is controlled by the reception. AC's in most of the rooms are not working and in worst condition. Even after multiple complaints, they don't fix the issue. (They act infront of you doing some discussion, once you leave they don't care). I've gone through the negative reviews and realised that this issue isn't fixed since many months, and people have been facing the same issue since very long. Service is worst, As we are three people per room, we need extra blanket and after multiple calls and waiting for 1hr, they gave blanket. And I don't know who entered into my room one day, my blanket disappeared from the room and I had to call them again and wait for 1hr more. They charge very high cost Rs.3500/- per night for a room of 3 and their service is worst, which made our vacation a Nightmare. Room sizes are very small and you don't have place to walk inside the room. Their way of maintaining records is worst, I had to re-check each and every bill and remove all the expenses which were already paid from the final bill, then they give another bill with these removed. Few rooms have a very bad cigarette smell.

Worst worst worst stay ever, if the owners say I didn't stay in their hotel, I can show you the invoice, payment proofs, etc.

I'm never staying in this hotel again, and I won't recommend anyone to stay in this hotel. Unless if you want to...

Recently we visited Varanasi for the first time. Didn’t have any clue about the places to stay. Stumbled upon Hotel Varanasi Heritage in Internet. Took the chance and stayed there for 3 days. Must admit that the stay turned out to be a truly memorable one. The room was spacious, staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food at the hotel was good, both in quality and taste. The Hotel is easily reachable and has enough parking space on the road in front. Location wise it is a few paces away from the Assi Ghat, where morning and evening Aarti takes place. Advantage is that you can visit the Ghat even at late hours to enjoy the calm environs. Other important places of pilgrimage are Tulsidas Ji’s house, Lolark Kund and Rani Lakshmi Bai’s Memorial, all of them at a couple minutes distance by foot. The best part is that the Hotel is nested in a quiet neighbourhood away from the hustle and bustle. Vishvanath Temple and other important temples are 15-20 minutes away by Tuk tuk which is available even in the middle of night. Hotel is soon to have a cafeteria on the top floor, from where the entire length of ghats shall be visible. A special shout out to Mr Rakesh Singh at the travel desk, with an immense experience of over 35 years he knows the city, its lanes and by-lanes like the back of his hand. Be it the important innumerable pilgrimage sites, famous eateries or the shopping places, he has tremendous amount of knowledge. He also helped us with a private boat ride at a very good price.
