How this place only has 3 stars is a shock to me! This place is paradise! We were a little bit dubious at first on what we were about to walk into, we weren’t sure if it was gonna be a bit tacky or shabby but from the moment we got here we have been blown away. The photos do this place no justice. It is soooo beautiful & well maintained. I’ve never seen so many groundsmen daily working on the premise to keep it all looking clean & beautiful. From the moment we arrived they had big smiles & grabbed our bags & sat us down during check in & gifted us with a welcome drink & refresh towel. Instant bliss. They gave us the reception WhatsApp number which is manned by someone 24/7. So whatever question you had you could just message them & they’d reply almost instantly. They organised our laundry to be done, car to get back to the airport, spa services. So many things & always so willingly & kind about it. The pools are way bigger in real life than they look like in the pictures so that was a pleasant surprise as well. Having the El Bacio restaurant on the premise was sooo amazing. The ease of messaging them on WhatsApp to have cocktails delivered to the pool was epic! Having the breakfast included was a game changer. I’m coeliac & was really worried about how I’d go but they were SO understanding & nearly every meal was able to be altered for me. Plus they homemake their GF bread & it is the besttt I think I’ve ever had. Even my friend who isn’t GF chose to eat it. I’ll be dreaming about it when I go home.
All in all this place is epic & my review is already too long but I haven’t even touched on the ‘surprises’. My bestie & I had no idea what that meant but as the days went on we discovered that sporadically, but consistently! There are little surprises for the guests…for example if your laying round the pool they give you fruit sticks, fresh juice shots, focaccia sandwiches or come to your room to surprise you with face masks or homemade biscuits, which I sadly couldn’t have but my mate said they were delish! We even came home one day to these cute little turtle plush toys on our bed! Just so cute & quirky.
It’s just the cutest little touch but made the stay soooo fun & just absolutely exceeded our expectations. We will one million percent be staying with Pink Coco again & if your ready this review trying to decide whether to book it or not, do it! The customer service is just off the charts amazing! Read moreYou can see why this has such a high review score when you experience a stay at pink coco! I searched lots of hotels around the area and was going to book some more expensive ones but keep coming back to pink coco. I’m so glad I did. The architect has done an excellent job, the entire place is like Santorini only painted pink instead of white. On arrival the porter helped with my bags and I was given a delicious lemon drink, a refreshing towel and rose water to spray on my face. A nice touch. Then a bracelet for a discount at the spa. Stayed in room 15 the grand pool view room. You can sit on the porch with the outdoor fan and couch. There are three pools, two circle ones at the entrance and an adults only rectangle one at the back. Wonderful gardens. Free water and sunscreen put out during the day by the pool. Palm trees around too. The can chill bar does play loud music until midnight on a Monday too but the songs are so good. I could hear it faintly in my room. The spa is lovely. With a hairdressing and nail salon too. Had a massage! Book in advance because outside guests use this too. Room was spacious and super clean. Loved the outdoor bathroom. Nice touches with an authentic water fountain type shower, hair ties, natural body wash, beach bag, flip flops to use, jewellery box for the safe, mosquito repellant, coffee, umbrellas, torch and night time lollies during turn down service. Beautiful designs in room. Two bottles of water free. Fan and air con in room. Mosquito net (keep it closed because the mosquitoes will come in, any chance they get). New tapas bar going in, so restaurant closed. Great restaurant across the road: ‘the place with no name’ and about 5min up the road walking ‘Bukit cafe’, which was my favourite place to eat. Lots of boutique shops with bikinis and surf boards (expensive compared to sanur). Quick walk to Labuan sait beach, which is a 15,000IDR entry €1. Worth it for the stairs they put in to get to the beach. Amazing between the rock faces. Monkeys everywhere! The beach is beautiful with surf boards to rent and coconuts to drink. I surfed with turtles there. Safe place. Super hot and humid in January! Social hotel as well. Lots of young people and the odd family. They can organise a taxi to the airport for 250k as well. Thanks for a...
Read moreOur recent stay at PinkCoco Uluwatu was an absolute nightmare - far from what you’d expect from a hotel claiming to be a premium destination.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear things were not right. We ended up switching rooms with our friends because the stairs leading to the Penthouse were dangerously steep and unstable — a serious safety hazard. It’s hard to believe any reputable hotel would allow this kind of risk. I wouldn’t be surprised if dozens of guests have raised the same concern.
The room itself was dirty on arrival. There was debris in the headboard, water all over the bathroom floor, and a strong smell of mould, poorly masked with an air freshener placed near the aircon. We immediately requested housekeeping, but even after that, the room remained dirty and poorly maintained.
The next day, we pack and move again, which completely disrupted our trip. Unfortunately, the second room wasn’t any better - the same water and mould issues were present. The lack of basic upkeep and cleanliness was shocking.
When we raised these serious concerns, the staff brushed us off with a rude and condescending comment, “this hotel is for cool adults only.” That kind of response was not just unprofessional - it was downright insulting and made it clear they didn’t care about guest wellbeing or basic standards of hospitality.
We paid Rp 8,040,000 for three nights filled with stress, discomfort, and terrible service. To make matters worse, our refund request was denied on the basis that another guest had already received one - likely for the very same issues we experienced. This reasoning is completely unacceptable. Each booking should be assessed on its own merits and handled fairly.
PinkCoco Uluwatu failed on every level - safety, cleanliness, and customer service. I strongly urge anyone considering this hotel to stay elsewhere. This was a costly, disappointing, and completely...
