We did a walk in and managed to get in despite no reservation. We opted for outside because the music inside was quite loud and instead got to watch people be idiots on the scooters as they rode past. We were given complimentary flat bread on arrival and it was delicious. I ordered a cucumber basil mocktail roughly 65k which seems to be a norm for Bali but I asked for it in a tall glass as I’m sick of ordering mocktails and they come in a tiny cocktail glass and it’s only filled with soda. My partner ordered a beer and Waiter brings both drinks and my drinks in a wine glass and barely half full. I get trying to save money on wine but soda water would cost the 5c to fill up a glass, stop being so stingy. For food we ordered the halloumi for a starter and this was absolutely divine and I’ve never had it like that before. Then my partner ordered the lamb shoulder with chickpea. The serving size is something I would give to my 4 year old. He asked if I wanted to try his dish and I said no, there wasn’t enough and I wasn’t going to take any of his maybe 50g portion. It was tiny, small and expensive 220k! . We ordered the baby potatoes to share, there was maybe 2 potatoes quartered, again tiny. Then we got the tomatoes with soft cheese- this was really good and a decent serving. Lastly I got the pasta with beef ribs and it simply just didn’t come. The waiter didn’t think when he put the meal in front of my partner and nothing in front of me that something could be wrong and walked off. I waited 5-10 mins, no food. I finally asked the waiter who both took our order & dropped the food off and he said “moment, it’s coming” and rushed off to the computer. He then came back and said the other guy (who wasn’t serving us?) lost the paper with the pasta on it. Weird but okay… the pasta after 20 mins came, my partner had finished eating and now he got to watch me eating, it was Paccheri pasta, maybe 6 or so pieces and it was absolutely lovely. Again, not really enough to share. The waiter was really apologetic and when we asked for the bill, he said I would like to give you something complimentary and we thought he was just going to take something off the bill even just the drinks (we got 1 beer and 1 mocktail) but he insisted on “something sweet” when I questioned what it was, I would like to choose what I’m eating the waiter said “it doesn’t matter, it’s free”. Again, weird. He bough the loukmades (Greek doughnuts) out and I have to say they were delicious and it was a good choice. I just wasn’t a fan that him making amends meant I wasn’t given the choice. The total incl a large mineral water was about 900k / $90 so very expensive for Bali and what we would pay back in Aus. If you’re going to charge those prices, serving sizes need to improve as done attentiveness to...

Read moreDrove by a few times. Decided to go there the night after arrival.
Arrived around 8 p.m Sat down ordered 2 cocktails. I asked for the menu again because I thought I was missing something in my cocktail. Berry caviar was not available.
Would be nice to know it before hand. We ordered 2 starters first. After 5 minutes or so ready to order the rest. Whilst ordering a lot of things we're sold out. I wanted to order 3 dishes and all of them not available. Bummer. And then she told me about the other unavailable dishes too.
And after us at least 6 or 7 tables came in for dinner. So they faced the same things.
I think at 8:15 p.m peak hour for a lot of foreigners this was a bit of a disappointment.
We heard tables next to us also complaining about this.
We asked what was available for my friend who's vegan. Hummus was also not available anymore. So his choices were very slim in an instant.
Maybe instructions your staff beforehand so when they bring the menu they can tell us what's available and what not.
I work in the hospitality business also as a chef and I know how it does not help Dewi to tell all guests that a lot of items are unavailable. Because she has to fix it on the front side for the kitchen.
She did an excellent job...
