Al Bacio Uluwatu — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

We decided to come here for dinner as we enjoy live music and they had an acoustic performer playing. The performer was really good and this post isn’t about him.

We had to wait almost an hour for one linguine dish and one patatas bravas side dish. The service was unbelievably slow considering the place was only half full. The staff weren’t moving very fast and it was hard to get their attention as we were sat behind a beam. The patatas bravas came out barely warm and the linguine came out piping hot so can only assume the side dish had been sat waiting for the main. We then ordered a hot lava cake, before last orders. After waiting 10 minutes, a waitress came round for last orders and it was obvious the lava cake hadn’t been ordered as she started checking with the kitchen and asking if we’d already ordered or if we are ordering now and how many we want. We waited an additional 10 minutes, saw other people getting their orders that were made after us and told them to cancel our order if they hadn’t started making it yet. The waitress didn’t go straight over to the kitchen, she started finishing a few other jobs. My other half went up after watching her do nothing and not give us an answer. She looked as though she only just remembered and ran over to the kitchen, but by this time we were frustrated and wanted to leave. They then tried charging us for the lava cake we never got.

The prices are ok when you compare them to UK prices (maybe seems a good deal if you’re here for a holiday), but having been out here for a few months you can get much better for much cheaper. Food was good but nothing special, in...

I'd give 10 stars if I could, anyone who doesn't give this amazing place a shot is definitely missing out! I left so delighted and wanting to come back already.

I had the most lovely Italian food here that reminded me of the food in Italy! The sangria was so yummy and I also had the orrechiette nere which was fresh and divine - perfectly al dente and tasty. From the bread starters, I already knew the food would be good - warm, fresh, perfectly soft and chewy and fragrant.

Massive shoutout to Chef Riccardo and Julie who are one of the warmest and kindest people I've come across at a restaurant! They take care of you and feed you like you are family. Just really sincere, genuine and super hospitable people - I was so well fed with their complimentary starter breads, chocolate liqueur (it's so good I wish they sold it in a bottle to take home!) and dessert and even so it was AMAZING. Chef was also lovely to chat with, super down to earth, knowledgeable and generous in sharing what he had, he even offered to make me a seafood pasta dish as I was craving it. Chef Riccardo and team just takes sooo much pride in what they do whether big or small which really heartens me and I do admire them for this!

I hope to see this place booming every time I come back, it definitely deserves all the success that I'm sure they will...

EXCELLENT!!! The cheese board was superb, really authentic spanish restaurant, the music was a bit loud but it was live music so, no complaints there. The food was typical spanish food, and it was really tasty, if you are spanish, I strongly recommend it, we went to another spanish restaurant before this one (really known) and it was the opposite of what you are looking for when you go out for a spanish meal! Then FORTUNATELY, we searched for alternatives close by and guys did it shine! The food was really nice, the atmosphere was great and laid back, the prices were super average, comfy chairs and tables, beautifully decorated and the cherry 🍒 on top... the staff! 75% of the times the person waiting the table can make or break your meal if the food is good, and omg they went above and beyond, they really made our night, super friendly with a big smile from the moment we walked in right to finish of theyr shift, because we were the last ones out! We even joined with another table and they were spot on with all the split bills. REALLY REALLY GOOD!
