I don’t normally make negative reviews however this was the worst dining experience I’ve had in Bali unfortunately. Incredibly unhygienic experience and unsurprisingly led to a long night of food poisoning for both me and my partner.
Firstly, the toilets had no running water for over an hour, and when we asked the staff if we could use the kitchen taps, they said the kitchen had run out of water also.
This is completely unhygienic, and frankly disgusting. How can you have chefs cooking and staff serving food without being able to wash their hands or the food itself?
The manager then made the excuse that waiters never go to the toilet (apparently they had been watching them on CCTV all night from home…), so they don’t need to wash their hands. I think that says it all.
They also said the kitchen has their own water dispenser (which the staff had already said had run out) however they didn’t show us this. Instead, I was asked to find a tap myself, and had to wash my hands using the garden shower of a nearby villa across the street.
We ended up paying for drinks only, but had no apologies nor reassurances this won’t happen again.
I won’t be dining here again, and recommend to avoid, which is a shame as the vibe and food was actually decent.
To the owner: I really hope you can sort the hygiene...
Read moreThe food was great and the waiters were very friendly, happy and had good English. However, it was their opening night and it was a bit of a mess. I can see great potential in this restaurant but they have a few things to work on service wise.
We felt a bit unseen and forgotten as staff would pass us by quickly without looking around which made it hard to get their attention. We finished our food and waited 45 min before the waiters came to clean off the plates, and did not ask if we wanted something more. Had to get their attention and ask for dessert. Waited about 25 minutes more for the dessert before we asked about it in which it was forgotten. However the dessert was really delicious and because the inconvenience it was on the house which we appreciate. When getting the bill to pay we didn’t get the change back and asked for it when 10 min had passed.
There were some other small inconveniences not worth bringing up but that contributed to the experience in its whole. However except for the long waiting times, the restaurant was nice and food was good. I hope this comes across as constructive...

Although we were sat on a table that was extremely hot. Apparently the fan was broken. I think priority should be made to fix this as it was quite unbearable by the end (I've lived in Bali for 7+ years and never been hot at any open plan restaurant before).
I didn't appreciate the fact that all dessets were sold out - how can you have 10+ excellent looking desserts on your menu and not have anything but one slice of Banoffee pie left? And no - I do not buy the staff's excuse "popular mister". We arrived at 5PM for drinks and were one of the days first customers. No desserts were ready for the enture day and this just screams poor management.
Finally - the staff never responded to my whatsapp to change my booking to accomodate more people. I have no idea why we didn't get a response as when we decided to just turn up anyway there were plenty of staff and no customers yet.
