Our stay at Pradnya Villa was beyond wonderful — not only because the villa itself is perfect, but also thanks to the owner Yana, who was incredibly helpful and kind.
The location is great: the villa is set in a peaceful area where you get to meet kind local people going about their daily lives, yet it’s only about 15 minutes by Grab from Ubud center. There are restaurants within a 5-minute walk, like Forest at Taman Dedari (we had dinner there every day — it’s beautiful and the food is delicious). You’ll also find supermarkets about 10 minutes away (Pepito and Indomart), and even a small grocery store right across the villa for essentials like water.
The villa itself is stunning, with an authentic Balinese design. The bed is large and very comfortable, and the linen and towels are spotless. The lighting is cozy, and the open-air bathroom is a must-try experience in Bali 😅 — it has both a shower and a large bathtub. Yana even decorated the bathtub with flowers for us at a small extra cost, and I absolutely loved it.
The pool was another highlight — we loved it! It’s spacious, clean, and the water stays pleasantly warm even at night, so we could really enjoy it at any time. We also had a Balinese floating dinner (instead of lunch due to our schedule), prepared by Yana’s family — it was delicious. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need.
Yana wasn’t just the owner — he was also our guide during our stay in Ubud. He took us on tours to North and East Bali, helping us visit the most important landmarks without the long queues, since he always knew the best times to go. We were almost alone at places like Handara Gate, Banyumala Waterfalls, Wanagiri Hidden Hills, Tirta Gangga, Ulun Danu Bratan, and even Lempuyang Temple — just 30 minutes later, crowds of tourists started arriving! That allowed us to enjoy everything to the fullest and take amazing pictures.
Yana also organized a trip to Nusa Penida for us with his super kind friend Deantara, and we also had a Balinese massage at the villa by Dewi, whom I highly recommend — I actually preferred it to spa massages since it felt more private and relaxing.
In short, our days at Pradnya Villa were truly fulfilling. We were able to relax in a beautiful setting and enjoy so many wonderful activities. If I ever return to Ubud, I would definitely stay at Pradnya Villa again without...
Read moreWe had a wonderful stay at Pradnya Villa! Yana is an incredible host who went above and beyond to make our time in Ubud unforgettable. He asked us what we would like to do and see in the area, after which, based on our interests he generously offered to take us on day trips, helped us organize our programs and workshops according to our convenience, and drove us around to local hidden gems and spots of serene natural beauties. He is really dedicated to supporting and sharing fascinating insights about the local heritage, including cuisine, arts, the way of living and ceremonies, which made our experience truly special. Whenever we needed any kind of assistance, he was always there to help with kindness and care.
We also had the pleasure of meeting his friend Ketut, who guided us on another day trip and shared further insights into Balinese culture and traditions, which we also greatly appreciated.
The villa itself was lovely, just like on the pictures, with a comfortable bed and a unique half-open design for the kitchen and bathroom. The private pool was the perfect finishing touch.
Overall, our stay at Pradnya Villa was the highlight of our trip to Bali, and we’re so grateful to Yana for making it such a...
Read moreIf you’re scrolling through villas in Ubud wondering which one will give you that “wow, why don’t we live like this all the time?” feeling—stop scrolling. Pradnya Villa is it.
Tucked away in a quiet little corner just outside the buzz of Ubud, this place offers the perfect balance between jungle charm and modern comfort. Just the kind of peace and serenity that makes you forget what day it is.
But the real magic? Mr. Yana and his family. Mr. Yana is the kind of host who is somehow always available when you need him, yet never intrudes. The craftsmanship of this villa shows, from the solid wooden doors to the cozy layout that makes it easy to feel at home.
The villa is spotless, the beds are heavenly, and the private pool is a amazing way to cool down. Our kids were in heaven, and so were we.
We’ll remember Pradnya Villa not just for its beauty, but for how genuinely welcomed we felt. It’s rare to find a place like this.
So skip the overpriced resorts with robot-like service. Go for Mr. Yana’s place. You...
