Villa GUSKU — Hotel in Pulau Bali

It's not easy to put in words and describe our experience with this place. My wife and I stayed in Villa Gusku Uma for 7 days. Villa is even more beautiful in real life than in pictures. It's hidden between rice fields and don't get scared of the path which leads to the villa-its very easy if you know where to go and the host will assist you with everything. Villa itself has everything you need -in the kitchen and bathroom. It's cleaned everyday.However the most important part of our stay was the family who run this place. Kusuma,Dewi and Made are truly amazing. They make you feel like at home and it's not a courtesy it's actually true. Dewi is an amazing chef and she prepares not only delicious and fresh breakfasts,but she also prepared for us for Christmas dinner 5 different types of fish. We cannot wait until we get back-see you soon and big thank you once again ! Please never change !...

A peaceful hideout in the centre of ubud! What makes this place even more special is the warm hospitality of Kusumu and Devi. We enjoyed some wonderful home cooked Indonesian food by devi. Only thing we'd mention is - the access to place is really a challenge especially if raining or it has rained. Although it's a few mins walk but it can be challenging for older people and families with small children. They should advise on this at time of booking. Secondly the views as shown in picture are no longer the same. There are no rice farms in front but uncultivated land. Although still nice but it's not the view we hoped for. A wonderful villa experience with a gorgeous view of rice terraces and palm trees. The one bedroom villa is 2 floors with a private pool. The only issue is that it’s really hard to get to - there are no paved roads to get to the entrance, but our host was kind enough to show us the way. It gets dark at night as well but it’s perfect if you want to be out in nature!
