Villa Madu — Hotel in Pulau Bali

My families stay at the Villa was magical. From the time I walked through the wooden Bali style entrance doors I felt transported in time to what I would imagine Shangri-La to be like. The cottage that we stayed in on the first night overlooked a beautiful tranquil pool surrounded by the prolific Bali greenery. Waking up in the comfy bed the next day to the sounds of bird song in the trees and sky was sublime. The next few days we all moved into the larger Villa. It was magnificent. On each side of the bridge to the Villa was a large pond filled with colourful Koi. We all enjoyed relaxing in the comfy sitting areas and enjoyed our comfy beds. The scenic garden was spectacular with the flowering plumeria trees, beautiful flowers and tropical plants. Lots of places to stroll to and spend time together or alone. Floating in the beautiful pool surrounded by tropical plants was so relaxing. The staff were so friendly, kind and caring and made us feel so welcome. Across the street from the Villa was an artisan shop with amazing metal sculptures some of which were purchased by my family to take home. Also a few steps from the entrance way to Villa Madu was a restaurant with delicious food and ambiance. Some of my family enjoyed walking to purchase coffee and baked goods from a shop close by. Our wedding at Villa Madu was so much more than I could have imagined thanks to the Villa Madu team. The venue is absolutely stunning—lush, green, and beautifully immersed in nature. It perfectly balances luxury with the natural environment around it.

The staff were incredible—kind, thoughtful, and attentive to every detail. With food allergies in our group, they went out of their way to ensure everyone was accommodated, and the care they took with the menu was so appreciated. Speaking of food, the wedding banquet dinner was truly unforgettable—the best meal we've ever had, not just for the flavours but for the beautiful presentation and atmosphere they created.

The decorations and flowers for our wedding were amazing! A special thanks to Riana and Christine, who made planning our wedding feel effortless. Their expertise, kindness, and creativity made every detail come together seamlessly. Dewa, the property manager, was also incredibly helpful in organizing activities and supplies, ensuring our entire stay went smoothly.

It's clear that the team are passionate about creating an exceptional experience for their guests and we can’t recommend Villa Madu highly enough. We (8 adults, 2 teenagers and one 8 month old) LOVED this place. So much space and so nicely decorated with every part oh so tranquil. Fell in love with it. Very easy to walk in to town and a secure location. The photos really don't do it justice. One of our highlights was Nurdi and her cooking. You don't need to eat out. Just tell her what you want and she and her staff will make it. We took advantage of the Yoga space daily as well. If I was to suggest improvements : 1) Have a swing for two/three people off one of the trees if possible 2) Wish there was a very shallow end for babies to play in the water 3) upon arrival introduce us to where the light switches are as some are hidden Overall an amazing experience. We'd love to be back here. Yes there is no TV and Aircon but we were very happy to get away from those things. Now time to look for ways to get back to Bali...
