This post is about the food as we just had dinner there but it was perfect. We're a couple and had a lovely interaction on this premises for starters we had Nachos which was really good and tasty. Then for dinner we had Fish and chips which was tasty and plentiful, we initially had an issue with the fish and chips but the manager came down listened to what we had to say and most of all agreed with us and rectify the situation which we were very happy about,if all eateries were like this place people would have nothing to complain about. Highly recommended and will be returning again

Very pricey. Chicken curry only includes rice, chips are extra. It was our most expensive dinner on holidays. It was a week night and place was quiet. Staff didnt check in once with us. Most had grumpy faces and none came back to us even though we needed more drinks and desert. Ended up paying and leaving. Food was ok. Lack of service sort of ruined it as we had 2 kids and 2 grand parents.

Great place to stop for a hearthy lunch! Probably my favourite carvery spot in Ireland after the Bridge in Tullamore. Large portions, friendly staff, reasonable prices and plenty of seating options. Also it's located in the center of town with plenty of parking (paid parking) outside. Grab a newspaper from the newspaper stand and enjoy a meal thats sure to fill you!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I visited with my partner and two young kids on 03/02/25 and had a very disappointing experience. We were seated on the 3rd tier, ordered drinks and dinner. However, just two minutes after the drinks arrived, my 3-year-old became ill and started vomiting. I immediately informed two employees that we would be canceling the dinner as we would have to leave with our child and planned to pay for the drinks only as food was just ordered and had not arrived by then. They reassured me that this would not be a problem.

As we cleaned up using baby wipes, not a single staff member came over to offer help or check if we needed tissues. In fact, it was fellow diners who kindly offered assistance. When I went to pay for the drinks, the person in charge was incredibly unhelpful. Despite explaining the situation, he said "thats unfortunate, but I am not being down €43 worth of food."

There was quite a bit of back-and-forth before I paid the €63 for the drinks and food, under the impression that the food was ready for takeaway straight away as stated by himself. However, after paying, the staff member disappeared, leaving me standing with a visibly upset child covered in vomit. Eight minutes later, I had to ask another staff member about the food, and it turned out it wasn't ready at all. So it could of been canceled when requested.

This staff member was clearly more concerned with money in the till than the well-being of a child. Not one member of the staff, bothered to ask if my child was okay. The lack of empathy and customer service was appalling. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone, especially families with young children. It was a distressing experience that I hope others don’t have...

Stayed here last night and I have to say it was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in when we went up to the room it wasn't very clean there were no curtains on the window jua a blind the two little windows were open and flies all around them it went from bad to worse we arrived a two o clock and went straight to the function at 8 o clocked my husband tried to get access to the room and the doors were locked a member of staff tried to open them couldn't a second member of staff was very rude and opened the door but asked if he would this be going to the moon regularly because she looked like she didn't want to be put out having to open the door again went we went to the room to go to bed the bed was hard and we had to listen to air/con.on the roof for the whole night and then listening to church bell from 7 o clock when we tried to make a cup of tea the kettle was broke so we d no sleep when we were leaving the receptionist asked was everything alright and we said no she got a manager her reply was to ask did we not ring the night porter and he would have cha8our room they must have known there was a problem with the room when they were allocating iit because I've never stated in a hotel that there was ear plugs in the room I don't expect a reply from this because it's a bad review and yous only reply...

Just back from a lovely weekend in Carlow. Hotel ideally located in the centre of everything. Fantastic location for stags /hens or if ya fancy a girls trip like we did. Wouldn't be ideal for couples or families as the noise from the nightclub on a sat is super loud, however the staff make sure your well informed of this when booking and checking in. We didn't mind as we were enjoying the music 🤣 food was lovely, really enjoyed lunch at Brooks cafe, the scones are to die for. I didn't quite wake up in time for brekkie but my companions said it was great. The only fault I can give, is that the rooms were really warm and even though we were supplied with a fan it didn't do much, the only other thing is the parking. It's a bit of a nightmare. It was really expensive to pay for parking on site. Would recommend parking at the new penny's, you still have to pay but not as much. Other than that we had a great time and the staff were absolutely lovely, especially the lady who cleaned the rooms. We was so friendly and couldn't do enough to...
