Antonello da Messina — Hotel in Messina

Everything went well at this B&B. No, better than that, it was exceptional. The first surprise was the size of my room: spacious. That doesn't always happen in Europe, but it was gloriously so. The bathroom was comfortable, with sufficient hot water present quickly. The breakfast was generous, not overwhelmingly so, but there was considerable discussion about what I wanted. Too nice. That may be the proper phrase, the people in charge were always considerate. I had to laugh at the expertise of the young who greeted me. I eventually told her she knows everything. Because she does and it's presented well.||The location is on a nice street near the port and the Duomo, which has an interesting bell tower at noon. I missed it, but it sounds great.||The room has a refrigerator and enough plugs for your chargers. There are comfy chairs to read in I missed that in my last hotel). It is my second time in Sicily at B&B Antonello Da Messina. ||It was as good as it was the first time. ||Each morning we had a Sicilian breast-fast on the house. It was delicious!!! ||Adriana, the receptionist offered us all the directions how to get to Domo, from where to rent a car, where to eat and what. And her advises were priceless. ||We met also the owner who was kind enough to pick us from the bus stop and brought us to the B&B. ||The location is ideal even if you do not want to rent a car, as the tram stop is close and you can get...

Excellent value and well situated though too far to walk from the station when we arrived at night and we were taken for a ride by the taxi which didn't make for great first impressions of Sicily - but no fault of this bed and breakfast.||Friendly welcome on our arrival and shown to the lovely spacious and clean blue room with a tiny balcony.
