Very bad experience. Very rude and arrogant owner, we came with my mother, who is almost 80 years old and he told us, that they will open in 25 minutes, so we came back in 15 minutes, if we can just sit and wait, as my mother was tired. He said no, even if the terrace was already fully prepared. My mother said in german ( as she doesnt speak english, no italian) that it is just 10 minutes and he replaid, no 12 minutes in very rude way, so we just went away... If you dont want to have a bad impression about italian hospility dont visit this place.

Your replay just illustrates that you dont understand how to behave to customers. I understand your point very well, but your way of communication and behavior is unacceptable. Moreover there are many ways how to deal with this type of situations.. First of all you have nowhere visible information about the opening hours, second it was a question of 10 minutes I dont thing that in those 10 minutes there will plenty of other customers coming to your restaurant, if so, still you can say that you are not open and they have to wait, the terrrace was FULLY PREPARED. Un tuffo autentico nella Roma più vera

Se state cercando un’esperienza culinaria che vi faccia sentire davvero a casa, lasciate che vi porti nel cuore di Roma, in un luogo che rappresenta l’essenza dell’osteria romana autentica. La prima volta che sono passato di lì, per caso, dopo aver concluso una serata con il vino di Signorvino avevo bisogno di mettere qualcosa sotto i denti e il destino mi ha indirizzato in questo piccolo gioiello.

L’atmosfera che si respira è quella di una vera osteria romana: calda, accogliente, con un tocco di familiarità che ti fa sentire subito a casa.

L’oste, con la sua simpatia e i suoi consigli sagaci, ti guida tra i piatti della tradizione, tutti rigorosamente a base di cucina romana. Le porzioni sono abbondanti, i sapori autentici, gli odori invitanti, e i suoni di piatti che vengono preparati con passione riempiono l’aria. È come tornare a casa dei nonni, ma con un tocco di modernità che non guasta.

Il menù è semplice ma di grande qualità: dalla carbonara perfetta, cremosa e saporita, al calcio e pepe, fino ad altri classici della cucina romana. La qualità dei piatti è ottima e si spende il giusto. La soddisfazione è completa: si esce con la pancia piena, il cuore contento e il desiderio di tornare.

Un dettaglio importante: il locale è molto piccolo, quindi è consigliabile prenotare con anticipo o passare di persona, perché spesso non rispondono al telefono. Non è il posto ideale per i bambini molto piccoli, a causa dello spazio ridotto, ma in compagnia di amici o in coppia il divertimento è assicurato. La posizione, nel cuore di Porta Venezia, permette anche di fare una piacevole passeggiata sul corso, tra negozi e locali vivaci.

Se dovessi trovare un neo, è proprio la dimensione ridotta del locale, che limita un po’ l’esperienza, ma tutto il resto, dal cibo all’atmosfera, lo rende un posto che merita senza dubbio le cinque stelle. Per una serata all’insegna della convivialità, della buona cucina romana e di un’atmosfera autentica, questo locale è una scelta eccellente.

In conclusione: se volete vivere un’esperienza romana vera, tra sapori genuini e calore umano, non potete sbagliare. Ce stà tutto in questo piccolo angolo di Roma in Porta Venezia. Ve lo consiglio: non ve ne pentirete! Lasciamo parlare le immagini...

Would have loved to give this place 5 stars. Food was delicious, cooked expertly. The bread was stale, which I cheerfully could forgive, however I asked the staff for either some butter or olive oil to make it palatable and they smiled, said they would check and then ignored my request. When I asked the owner about it again later I was told that they didn't have any for my use. I told him that was fine, but that someone should have informed me, rather than ignoring my request. It became combative. My overall impression was that because I was American, my request was ignored. Had someone simply come to the table and let me know they had chosen not to serve butter or olive oil with their stale bread, I would have been happy with the restaurant...
