Affittacamere Arcobaleno — Hotel in Monterosso al Mare

This B&B was an apartment in a block at the far end of Monterosso away from the old part but close to the station and the beach. While cramped for space and no view or balcony, our room was comfortable enough. ||||The lady who provided breakfast was helpful although the premises were not attended all the time and there were no refreshments in her absence (tea making facilities would have been welcome). There was no cooked breakfast but a good variety of pastries, cereal, ham and cheese. The coffee at breakfast was great. ||||Travellers seeking a quiet location should be aware Arcobaleno Affittacamere is close to passing trains that run through the night. We were also disturbed by children partying late Sunday night outside the downstairs apartment. We thought it quite pricey. We paid more per night than for an excellent 4 star hotel in Pisa so would consider day trips to Cinque Terre...

We were staying for four days in this B&B.||It is easy to reach by feed from the train station (7 min walking). The beach is very close (3 min by feed).||Pros:||- the room was nice and clean.||- we had luck to catch a room with balcony.||- a/c, fridge||||Cons:||- noisy in the room. We could hear the neighbor over us watching TV. On the balcony is the counter part for the air condition (it turned on every 15 min, also in the night.) the noise inside the room was moderate.||- towels are not changed every day, unlike what is written there (to change put the towels on the floor)||- the breakfast could be improved. They don't have a big variety there (one type of cheese and one type of meat)||||Considering that also prices are very high in Monterosso we would try another...

7 minutes walk from the train station, bit away from the crowd but not too far either. A bit of a climb from the main street. Marika greeted us and already had our room ready even before noon. We got the smallest room of the three rooms in the apartment, level 1. Window view was good but noise of train is quite strong. |Tiny bathroom with limited space even for the towels. There is hardly room to put our luggages. Room size ok if you dont stay much in the room. |Fridge doesnt work, but room is clean |Neighbors sometimes talk very loudly (everybody talks loud in Italy, hahaha...) and we can hear them through floors or windows|Overall the place is not bad, some restos nearby,...
