Napoli's Rooftop — Hotel in Naples

Shame on the operator for running such a dirty place. ||||We had booked two nights for 28/12 and 29/12/2019 through booking.com. We booked this place only because in the past booking through booking.com has been great. We arrived at the bus station, there were no signs for this BB. We wasted over 45 minutes trying to contact the operator, many calls and text messages were not answered. We were standing outside a run down filthy building for almost an hour and finally a young man came running towards the building. He walked us through this filthy elevator with mould all over into a room on the rooftop. The entrance to the room was full of dirt, cigarette smell and mould. The bedroom had water lines and faucets running in the bedroom covered with coloured tape. The water tank in the toilet was leaking and water on the ground inside the bathroom, shower had long black hair and the wash basin had dirt and hair. The balcony was so dirty with dust and mould. Bathroom full of mould and a dirty tray with two tubs of jam and two packets of crackers kept in the room. There is no way we could stay with mould, cigarette smell and more over a dirty bathroom. Although the owners have done some renovations to the floor area the bathroom is totally filthy. We tried to take pictures and the young man who did not speak English did not allow us to do so. Obviously they did not like us to show what kind of place they are operating. We managed to take a few pictures from outside.||||We called booking.com after holding on the phone for over 35 minutes got through to an agent and told him about this place and we cannot stay. We were promised an email will be sent out to send our concerns but nothing was sent upto now. ||||We finally found a hotel close by just for one night, our plan to visit Amalfi coast was changed as we changed our train tickets paying more for the hotel, two nights for this filthy place has been charged although we did not stay and pay a penalty for changing our train tickets to leave Naples sooner than our original plan.||||Overall this is the worst experience ever and this bed and breakfast ruined our time in...

Ho prenotato online la camera singola budget ,che comunque è per due persone, l' offerta era imperdibile, un prezzo veramente molto conveniente, una soluzione migliore mille volte rispetto a vari B&b nei vicoli intorno alla stazione, che spesso sono mal frequentati e sinceramente, secondo me pericolosi. Questo B&b invece si trova in una strada tranquilla e sicura, corso Arnaldo Lucci, a 300 metri soli dall'incredibile stupenda piazza Garibaldi, completamente messa a nuovo. Posizione quindi strategica, a due passi dalla stazione centrale e dalla metro, che porta ovunque. Ho apprezzato tantissimo l’host che ha acconsentito a un check in anticipato, per i miei motivi di salute. Il palazzo è decoroso, con portiere, c'è l' ascensore (il b&b si trova all' 11° piano, e per salire o scendere occorre una moneta da 10 centesimi ...tranne la domenica, perché manca il portiere che cambia i soldi). Il riscaldamento è autonomo, regolabile con il telecomando. Chi come me preferisce spegnere il condizionatore, può usufruire di un candido, morbido e caldo piumone, che si trova nell'armadio. Veramente ottimo il segnale wifi, velocissimo e affidabile, totalmente gratuito in tutte le camere, con connessione Fastweb. Eccezionale, non mi ha mai dato problemi. Bella Tv 32 pollici Akai con più di mille canali. Le finestre anodizzate hanno doppio vetro, da fuori non arrivano rumori, ma dalla stanza a fianco si sente tutto... ho beccato anche una coppia che alle tre di notte faceva....acrobazie! (sorrido) .I materassi sono molto comodi, i cuscini non tanto. L'acqua calda è sempre presente nel bagno in camera, simpatico e spazioso, tutto celeste con una bella cabina doccia. Peccato l'infelice idea di posizionare il rotolo di carta igienica all'angolo! (vedi foto). Piccolo frigobar in stanza. Nemmeno una bottiglietta dell'acqua, per accoglienza, in compenso, però, macchina elettrica per il caffè con zucchero e cialde gratuite, a disposizione degli ospiti, nel breve corridoio. Pulizia, lenzuola e asciugamani candidi, check in veloce, con ricevuta fiscale. A parte, non online, si paga la tassa di soggiorno:2,50€ a notte per persona, ma a Napoli ovunque è così.. Tempestivi gli host, pronti a rispondere su whatsapp. Molto disponibili a venire incontro alle esigenze del cliente. Ho apprezzato molto. Poche attenzioni però per l’ospite. C’è l’armadio, ma nemmeno una gruccia! C’è l’asse da stiro, ma manca il ferro! Non c'è un coltello di plastica per spalmare quella piccola porzione monodose alla pesca, sul cornetto confezionato in busta. La colazione è insignificante, ma tutt'attorno trovate decine di bar e caffetterie. Del tutto assente il set di cortesia, fatta eccezione di un unico flacone anonimo di sapone. Manca la possibilità del deposito bagagli, perché non c’è una reception e i prezzi alla stazione si aggirano intorno ai 5 o ai 6 euro, (un'ora o anche tutto il giorno) ,per tenere in custodia il vostro trolley. Io me lo sono portato dietro per Km! Nella singola budget non c’è un tavolo, una scrivania…un piano di appoggio. Ho mangiato la pizza, tenendo la scatola sulle ginocchia. Il comodino che avevo richiesto bastava solo per poggiare gli occhiali e il cellulare, troppo piccolo! Avevo chiesto il favore di una lucetta per leggere di sera, è arrivata, ma con la lampadina fulminata.Alla fine poteva essere un B&b più attento e accurato, ma rispetto agli altri è decisamente migliore e più economico . Molto probabilmente ci tornerei. Ho pagato pochissimo, per cui non mi resta altro che ringraziare. Sarei finita in un bugigattolo in un vicolo sperduto, invece sono stata accolta in una struttura signorile.Per quanto riguarda la tv, c'è una strategia!! Per scegliere un canale, ( poiché non sono ordinati), cliccare il tasto centrale ENTER , scegliere e poi pigiare due volte il tasto MENU'. Lo consiglio.Francamente non capisco il giudizio pessimo che hanno assegnato. Io invece ho scattato foto appositamente per Tripadvisor....

😊: - the room was clean, nice and new the view was great close to train station - good transport. 😢: - close to train station - the area seemed very dangerous very old building the main reason why my review is so low: the communication with the host is HORRIBLE and it made our stay quite stressful. Here is an explanation why: We had a late-night flight, which we clearly communicated to the host in advance - and he confirmed it was okay. At first, he replied to our messages, but then stopped responding. When we later informed him about a two-hour delay, he went completely silent - even though we were still arriving late at night, as originally agreed. We landed in Naples not knowing if we had a place to stay. Only after asking whether we should look for another accommodation did he finally respond. The check-in process, when it finally happened, was rushed and disorganized. Instead of sending clear instructions beforehand, he messaged us in a stressed, impatient way. It felt like we were bothering him - which made the whole experience unnecessarily uncomfortable. In the end, we couldn’t understand why he didn’t just send the check-in info earlier. It would have saved us a lot of stress...
