Imagine this: you and your five best girlfriends embarking on the ultimate ski getaway in Italy. Just the thought of it feels like pure magic.||||And what’s a fairytale vacation without a “castle”? While the Post Hotel may not be one in the literal sense, every inch of it exudes royal luxury wrapped in the warmth of home.||||From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the crackling of a wood-burning fireplace and a staff so genuinely kind that they soon felt like family. Our rooms? Spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully prepared. Plush baskets filled with robes and towels awaited us for our spa days. Each of us had our own special requests—mine was a balcony, where I spent every morning and evening breathing in the crisp Dolomite air and soaking in the breathtaking beauty around me.||||The magic didn’t stop there.||||Each night was an experience of its own. Imagine sipping cocktails and enjoying appetizers right in the kitchen, mingling with the culinary artists behind our meals. Or unwinding in one of the cozy lounges, where the hotel’s owners—who have cared for this gem for generations—welcomed us as if we were long-lost family.||||Then came dinner. Seven exquisite courses. Each more incredible than the last. I’ve dined at Michelin-starred restaurants, but nothing compared to the culinary brilliance we experienced here. Every bite was an adventure, every dish a masterpiece. We laughed, we savored, we created memories over each course. The dining staff was incredibly attentive, and by the end of our stay, we weren’t just guests—we were part of something special.||||And oh, the drinks! The wine list was exceptional, with pairings so perfectly curated they felt like magic. But the real showstopper? The cocktails. Watching the bartender craft each one with precision and creativity was mesmerizing. They weren’t just drinks; they were works of art—stunning, delicious, unforgettable.||||Mornings at the Post began with an indulgent breakfast spread, both savory and sweet—fueling us for the adventures ahead. And adventure was everywhere.||||Step outside the Post Hotel and straight into the heart of San Candido. Quaint shops, charming cafés, historic cathedrals—it was like stepping into a postcard. But we were here to ski, and ski we did! The Post had everything covered: heated ski storage, a shuttle to the nearby slopes, and even emailed us bus and train passes upon arrival—making it seamless to explore.||||On our non-ski days, the staff had endless recommendations, from castle visits to hidden gems we never would have found on our own. One unforgettable highlight? A full-moon snowshoe hike. The stillness of the night, the glow of the moon on the snow—it was pure magic, a moment that will live in my heart forever.||||I could write a novel about our time at the Post Hotel, but no words will ever truly do it justice. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience, a feeling, a memory waiting to be made. The staff ended up naming us the sunshine girls, and who couldn't be filled with sunshine in this magical place?||||You just have to go and see for...

I want to give the Post Hotel no stars- because I want to make sure there will always be a room ready for my and my fiancee anytime we want to go!

The Post Hotel is everything we wanted for our stay in San Candido-- and more. The hotel is clean, modern, inviting, centrally located, charming, quiet, and very comfortable.

The staff are equally as welcoming, charming, friendly, and will do anything to make your stay perfect. One of the staff members noticed we arrived late on our first night and although the kitchen was "closed", they arranged to get us a hot meal- without us even saying/asking anything! THAT is service!

The parking was perfect for keeping our car safe and snow-free during our stay. It was very easy to go in and out of the parking structure and we never had an issue finding a good spot. It was worth the extra few euros.

The food at Post Hotel is spectacular. The morning spread is more than enough to sustain you for your following daily activities. The dinner service is delicious, surprising, and gourmet. While we usually like to explore and try new places to eat- we could not help but eat at the hotel multiple times during our stay. It was just too good and they rotate their menu each night. We loved having a designated table just for us for each meal- no need for reservations!

The wellness area is relaxing, rejuvenating, and a great way to unwind after a full day of activities. Everything is clean and very well taken care of. The towels are always stacked high and the spa refreshments are always full. We spent quite a bit of time in the wellness area.

The spa services are also great. I had two different massages and a customized facial during our stay. Again, everything was clean, modern, and the spa services were world class. I would highly recommend added this to your list of to-dos for your stay at Post Hotel.

The room was large, accommodating, and had a great view of the mountains. The bed was large and comfortable as were the sheets and pillows. While we didn't spend much time there, the porch was lovely and if it were warmer, we would have spent more time out there. The tub was HUGE. The shower is also very large (unlike a lot of other hotels in Italy). The water temperature and pressure was perfect. My favorite parts of the room: the heated bathroom floor and towel rack. It's easy to warm up, and dry out after a long day of skiing with that touch.

We will definitely be back- perhaps in summer next time- to explore some hiking in the area. We loved our stay...

From the moment you step into the Post Hotel you know you’ve made the right choice. We chose the Post Hotel for many reasons but the most important being that they are a dog friendly establishment (their no kids rule was a major plus).

Parking: There’s a nearby underground garage that belongs to the hotel. If you have a lot of luggage there is a loading zone to the right of the entrance. Please note that you need your hotel key to exit the garage.

Check-in: The staff was very cordial, prompt, and attentive. Note that G2 rules were in effect. At check-in we received complementary poop bags & a list of dog related services available in the surrounding area e.g., grooming.

Room: We chose a spacious room that was very comfortable for two adults & dog. The restroom was very large. My only wish was that it included a bathtub.

Meals: My partner & and I paid for the “half board” option which was an incredible deal & well worth it. The half board includes breakfast & a multi-course dinner. The Post Hotel allowed our 5kg dog to sit with us as we enjoyed our candlelit dinners by providing a blanket for them to lay on. The service was BEST IN CLASS & the meals were delicious.

Spa/pool: The spa was extremely relaxing and quiet and a welcome escape. There’s a steam room, sauna, showers and a great relaxation room. The only downer was that the spa doesn’t open til 3pm. We could have spent all day there! The pool is also wonderful and intimate and open all day.

We hope to...

🇬🇧 We have stayed at the Post Hotel (adults only) several times and are always positively impressed. On the one hand, the always friendly and cordial "care" by the Wachtler family and the staff team. On the other hand, the fact that the hotel is always evolving, while maintaining the style and philosophy - tradition and lifestyle are in a really great consensus here. This year, we were able to marvel at the innovations in the pool area (petrol/gold) and the really successful Secret Garden (with an exotic animal🦒). There have also been some changes to the evening meal ... you can now always combine the menu on offer with local classics ... and that can only be recommended! On the agenda are, among others, Gerstlsuppe, Schlutzkrapfen and a Knödel-Tris, then Wiener Schnitzel and apple strudel ...

Wonderful all around! Room was spacious and well decorated. The restaurant was INCREDIBLE, some of the best meals we had in Italy. The staff is so friendly and helpful, including both waitresses (so nice!) and the front desk staff. Thomas, the bartender, was born to do his job and a great conversationalist. Highly recommend and hope to return!
