The 163 Boutique Hotel exceeded all expectations. It was reasonably priced, in an excellent area for walking to tourist attractions and the staff went above & beyond for me.|We were very surprised when we walked into the room. It was a very old building, but the room was redone with a modern vibe and was really nice. The old character of the building was preserved, but with modern lighting and other really nice touches. The room had a mini fridge, safe, smart mirror in bathroom, and had a secure entry.|We walked to many of the major tourist attractions, and were able to catch a bus right outside the building to the Vatican.|When we checked out we caught a taxi to the airport via the Uber app right outside the hotel. The taxi driver did not speak much English and was trying to communicate to us that he didn't use Uber & was pointing to the taxi prices on the back of the headrest. We were trying to tell him that the Uber ride had already started and we weren't going to pay double. Being totally flustered, we paid him the difference between what Uber charged & what the taxi price was, and left.|Proceeding inside the airport, I discovered that my CPAP machine had been left in the taxi. I tried to find the information to contact him on the Uber app & it was no longer available. At this point I decided that my CPAP was lost luggage.|After our flight, I received a notification from 163 Boutique Hotel on Whats App, notifying me that I had left luggage in the taxi & the driver had returned it to them.|They researched how and who they could ship it to me. It was a bit more involved since home was in the United States.|There were some issues since it is a medical device as to if it would clear customs. They handled all of the details of the shipment and sent me a link to pay for the shipping.|I couldn't thank them enough for all that they did.|We had gotten on a cruise ship & were not going to be home for 2 weeks. The CPAP got home the same day that we did, before us and was in perfect condition.|I would highly recommend 163 Boutique Hotel, not only because it was a great place to stay for our visit to Rome, but because the Staff there went above & beyond to take care of this situation for me, and asked for...
Read moreTo be honest, the room was absolutely incredible. It was just the service that was garbage.
We stayed at the suite and paid quite a price expecting a “luxury” hotel stay. However, our experience with the morning crew was far from luxurious.
We were awake on multiple occasions by loud conversations being had by Rocco, the person working the front desk and the maid servicing the rooms.
Upon requesting them to quiet down as we were trying to rest from the night before (with the do not disturb sign on the door) we were confronted back, being told that it is almost 11 AM; which justifies their yelling back and forth in this narrow hallway as acceptable deeming that it is us to blame for sleeping in during our hotel stay and not their fault for the loud yelling…
I would never expect any hotel, let alone one that calls itself luxury to have employees that behave in such a manner… let alone allow this type of behavior to occur ever.
I would highly recommend spending your money elsewhere in town as this was not worth the money...

The bathrooms are VERY spacious for Italy! Note: this is a boutique hotel so there is not 24 hour staff. If you are self sufficient you will be fine! We occupied 3 rooms and we had such a good...
