Ristorante Petrucci — Restaurant in Rome

Extremely unprofessional and blatantly discriminatory. This is a hotel restaurant, and from the reviews it appeared that outsiders could have breakfast here. I am not a hotel guest and was charged €14 for breakfast.

The staff were shockingly rude from the moment I arrived. When I paid, the woman at the counter literally tossed the receipt at me without a word, glaring as if I was an inconvenience. Another female employee unlocked a door for me with the same irritated expression.

At first, I thought this was just one rude staff member—until I saw her greeting other customers with kisses and warm smiles. The difference in treatment was obvious and appalling.

As a traveler visiting Italy, this was deeply upsetting and left a terrible impression. You are a disgrace to the hospitality industry in this country.

We stayed in a nearby hotel and ate here out of convenience. The service was very fast (~1.5 hours from seating to paying bill) and staff was friendly, but the food was not as expected. We ordered octopus salad and salmon carpaccio. The octopus was quite good but the others were a little disappointing. For dinner, cacio e pepe and another dish I don’t recall.
