When we arrived at the b&b, we were welcomed very warmly. We were given a map of Rome where we were shown all the different places we could visit and the bus routes we need to take to get there. It was very informative and good to have as the map became very handy when figuring out how to get around the city.||||The rooms are very close to the bus stop, and the front desk can help you order a taxi if you would like. The rooms are also very close to a delicious restaurant and The Vatican. Overall, the location is good.||||There was a complimentary breakfast each morning with options for everyone. The fridge was full of food and it was very delicious. The rooms were cleaned every day and had a mini-fridge and TV inside of them! The beds were very comfy and the decorations inside the room made it feel very cozy! (There is free wifi too!)||||Overall, the hosts were very kind and friendly and always around to help. If they're not by their desk, they can be contacted easily for help and always come to assist in any of your needs.||||This place felt like a home away from home! The hosts were very kind-hearted and made our stay very enjoyable.||||(There was also an option to take a night tour for 3 hours to see many popular sites and hidden gems around the city. A really great option! Even though it's an extra price, it was definitely worth it. We...
Read moreI woke up the middle of my first night at the property with bites all over my arms and legs. Turned on the lights and found several bed bugs.
The owner said he had never had this problem before and moved me to another room. The bed was very uncomfortable and I found it impossible to sleep and left me with back pain the next day.
The owner said nobody had ever complained about the bed before. The next day I read through the reviews and found that others in the last few months had found bed bugs as well as complained about the beds. It was a mistake not to read reviews carefully before booking. I realized I could not trust the owner and left early to find another hotel.
The bed bug bites (more than 20) grew bigger over the next few days despite treatment, and made it very difficult for me to work.
The owner offered me only 10% reimbursement for my inconvenience (which is an insult given that even 5 days later I’m still itching considerably from the bites and lost a lot of sleep and was unable to concentrate during my conference) — and that too only after signing a paper agreeing not to post bad reviews or contact Expedia. I refused.

Read moreI recently stayed at B&B Aurelia Garden Rooms, and I can say it was a delightful experience. The location is fantastic—just a 15 to 20-minute walk to St. Peter’s Square and the Vatican, which makes it super convenient for sightseeing. The walk itself is enjoyable, as exploring Rome on foot is always a pleasure, and the time flies by.
The facilities are cozy, with the reception and kitchen in a shared space near the rooms, giving it a close, homey feel. The staff were warm and welcoming, making it feel like staying at a family member’s house. Cleanliness was spot-on, and everything felt well-kept.
In terms of comfort, the place is nice overall, but the bed was a bit of a letdown. It has a base with thin boards that bend under weight, so it wasn’t the best for a restful night. However, the bathroom and shower were great, which was a plus.
For the price, especially in a city as expensive as Rome, this B&B is a fantastic deal. The location is unbeatable, and you really feel like you’re getting value for money. I highly recommend it for travelers looking for an affordable, comfortable stay close to...
