Golden Bistrot — Restaurant in Rome

I visited this café in Italy because of its beautiful décor and the visually stunning pastries displayed at the counter. Unfortunately, the actual experience fell far below expectations. The pastries looked lovely but were overwhelmingly sweet—so much so that I couldn’t finish even a small portion.

I ordered a latte, but what I received was essentially just a cup of hot milk with no trace of coffee. When I politely pointed this out, the staff responded with a cold, dismissive attitude. There was no apology, no explanation—just rudeness.

What bothered me even more was the clear difference in service. Other tables were being attended to with smiles and efficiency, while I was completely ignored. I had to call for service more than once, and even then, the staff acted as if I was an inconvenience.

While the ambiance of the café is undeniably charming, it doesn’t make up for poor customer service and disappointing food and drink quality. I left feeling frustrated and unwelcome. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant...

Really nice coffee , the croissant was exquisite , also really nice sandwiches selection. The staff was friendly and served us promptly. Clean bathrooms, really nice design and nice seating area.
