A True Slice of Italy – Ci Piace Roma is Simply Unforgettable During our six-day stay in Rome, one of the absolute highlights was discovering Ci Piace Roma — a gem of a family-run restaurant that captured our hearts from the very first visit. In fact, we loved it so much, we dined there three times! From the moment you walk through the door, you’re welcomed like an old friend. The warmth and genuine hospitality of the family who runs the restaurant make you feel like you’ve been invited to their home for a special meal. The atmosphere is cozy, authentic, and filled with that unmistakable spirit of Italian life — laughter, warmth, and passion for good food. And speaking of food — every dish we tried was nothing short of exceptional. Each plate was crafted with love, fresh ingredients, and an authenticity that transported us straight to the heart of Italy. From the heavenly pastas to the perfectly tender meats and divine desserts, everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The waiters and waitresses deserve special mention too — they were truly fantastic. Attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and always ready with a smile or a great recommendation, they added so much to the overall experience. It’s rare to find such a perfect combination of service, atmosphere, and cuisine, but Ci Piace Roma delivers it effortlessly. Dining here wasn’t just a meal — it was an experience, a memory we will always treasure. If you are looking for a true slice of Italy, with food made from the heart and hospitality that makes you feel part of the family, Ci Piace Roma is an absolute must-visit. We can't wait to return!

SCAM ALERT! CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS! Pizzas are definitely not Italian, probably worst we had during our time in Italy. Ravioli not the best but ok for the price. They brought us a receipt of 20€ when Ravioli costs 9€ and 4 Seasons pizza 7.5€. Total 16.5€ + 2€ coperto (which was not mentioned in the menu btw). 1.5€ difference is not much and not the amount is a problem but the problem is that that is not what was written in the menu. When I asked why, the waiter started explaining me something in Italian, when I told him I don't understand he started shouting to the cashier and they printed a new receipt of 19€. That they rudely threw on the table. Also tried to explain something that we didn't order much, not even drinks that's why they increased prices. Waiter did not even apologize but asked where are we from and after hearing name of the country rolled his eyes twice and left our table. When leaving told him that scamming tourists is not good. I don't think he understood it but maybe someone will translate it to him. ~~~EDIT TO OWNERS REPLY: It sounds you did nothing wrong and we are the bad guys here. But we were not angry, nor conflict with you. We just asked questions as we did not think it's fair what you did to us. I'd suggest to just accept that you made a mistake and be respectable business in the future. We will never know if you improved as we'll never come back here and will not recommend your place to anyone. By the way, could you translate to English what you were shoutting at us on the street when were passing by your restaurant few hours after we left a bad review?

We stayed for 4 days in a nearby hotel so one evening we decided to try this restaurant. Big mistake, huge ! Horrible smell from the trash cans , but we didn’t want to leave as soon as we sat because of this reason, so we stayed. We waited almost 30 minutes for our food and both dishes were disappointing. The spaghetti with seafood only had 1 shrimp and 2 clams. The chicken and potatoes were not cooked well. We ordered a baked potato and received mini roasted potatoes that were drenched in vegetable oil, unsalted. Keep in mind, the chicken came with no side and we were charged an extra (€5)for the potatoes. I changed my order to spaghetti bolognese but I got served spaghetti pomodoro ( the meat was missing) At the end when the check arrived, we were charged for the seating(€3) , for the water (€2) that they poured from the tap and we were told to go home from the waiter who was very rude during the whole time and especially after I asked about those charges. So, do yourself a favor and skip that place with a terrible service and food! I couldn’t have more than a bite so I left my food by the trash bins for the homeless cats. As I was hungry , we went to the Buona Forchetta restaurant, just 30 meters further and loved the atmosphere and the food there ( ate already twice ) , service was great and no overcharge. At the end they even serve free limoncello.
