Myself, my wife and son stayed here for a week for our honeymoon and were blown away by the quality and service.||Let's get the bad out of the way first, which is not really a bad but a reality of Guest houses. It's not a hotel so there's no 24 hr reception or any real way of getting solid info on the area. But this is the only negative which is not the fault of Guest house.||The host Valentina was so nice, polite and welcoming. On our arrival she ordered us McDonald's through an app on her phone. A small gesture but one that went above expectations and for which we were very grateful.||The air con in the room was a god sent in the cruel roman summer heat. It temporarily stopped working but that was due to our 2 year old boy wanting to press every button twice and jamming it. We reported it and by our return it was working again.||Valentina also brought us a bottle of prosecco, the wine was free for us also for honeymoon and the mini bar that was free contained fizzy drinks and beer, all free! She also left a bottle of milk each day for our son without being asked to do so.||All of the above are super but the single biggest selling point is the location. A 10 minute walk to the colesseum, palatine Hill and Forum. 20 minutes walk to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. 35 minutes to Vatican.||If walking isn't your thing then the nearest metro is only 3 minute walk.||If I could give 6 out of 5 stars I would, but unfortunately I can only give Valentina and the guest house 5...
Read moreFor visiting Rome this place is located close to all the touristic attractions of Rome. You could walk easily to all those points of interest or take the metro at 200 meters of the guest house. It has a nice little terrace and Giuseppe is really friendly.||||The reason we do not value this place higher is mostly due to the basic services we expected. Giuseppe asked us friendly for our arrival time. As it is difficult to give a good estimation of arrival. I thought an indication(give a later time in case of delays with traffic etc) would be ok. We assumed that at the time we arrive there will be a person, reception is open up to 21.00(if I remember well). In the end we arrived earlier and we could not enter. Giuseppe arrived as soon as he can, not a problem. ||||Secondly, at the day of leaving we could leave our luggage up to 14.00 as he had to leave afterwards. As we had to leave later, we were a bit limited as we needed to bring luggage with us. ||||Hotel great, location great, would give a 5 is they would improve the reception part. Either have someone at reception, or at least give the option(only provide a key to enter in the hall of the guest house) to travelers that check out to get their luggage at a later time in the day. As that last point was most annoying.||||A part of that I would...
Read moreStayed here for a couple of nights in early July because of its value and area (12 min walk from Colosseum, 5 min to nearest bus stop). And it exceeded my expectations from start to finish!
Incredibly sincere, friendly, and courteous staff who just wants to make sure you have a good experience from start to finish. Phenomenal wi-fi, POWERFUL AC, and guest service! Valentina who runs the bookings is very proficient in English and was incredibly helpful with meeting my needs as best as her and her family could.
Mini-fridge was stocked with free drinks daily and they even tidied up my room and made it look brand new even though I never asked and was there for 2 nights! I was blown away! The space was nice and open, great for solo or two travelers.
The only issue I had was the shower pressure and hot water being finicky due to their outrageous heat wave. There’s a little trick to pump out hot water faster by also turning on the sink to hot to get it out faster, but even then it wasn’t reliable so quick showers to utilize the hot water were necessary. They tried their best to fix it but I understand given the situation that this was out of their immediate control. So I don’t fault them for it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. I would visit again! Especially with how helpful Valentina and her family were who...
