In Rome. location is key, and this little place is spot on at the edge of the Jewish Quarter, meaning you can walk across the river in the evening for a nice diner in Trastevere and walk into town, the Forum and so on during the day. No tram, bus or taxi needed.||||Indoors the place is clean, nicely renovated, complete with small fridge and great and mandatory airco. Really no complaints at all. The only thing they should really take into account is the general staircase, which is typical Roman: shared with dozens of other apartements and therefore not maintained. We were a bit appalled by the smell after entering the ground floor, and the fact that it is not clean, not painted etc, does not add to to the experience. Once in the apartment this is quickly forgotten, but if you want to improve something, this is it.||||Service was great: an email the day before to arrange transport, personal welcome in front of the place (they need to as no reception) and then a nice and thorough introduction to everything in and outside the location. Well done.||||People with time constraints to see Rome - you can do a lot in a day when staying at this place. Also recommended for people on a budget, couples and flying solo.||||Tip: get that cappuccino across the road at the bar on the corner, Italian hospitality (sic!) and a nice insight into the machinery of the early morning coffee experience in the eternal city....
Read moreRoom was dirty, smelled terrible and it could not be aired out as the windows have no screens and the air conditioner did not work properly. The towels were not refreshed each day, carpets were dirty (use the complimentary slippers provided) as you will not want to walk on these floors. The noise from the street, tram and daily hustle and bustle could be heard through entire night. Believe every negative review written as they are on point! The "reception" is the man who meets you at the room --and if you're not going to arrive on time, expect to be inconvenienced and pay for the inconvenience. The "breakfast included" was a prepackaged piece of toast and Nutella. The pics on the website are very misleading. It is in no way a hotel or bed and breakfast, it's a room in a building with no perks...overpriced as well. The only "pleasant" comment I have to offer is that it's centrally located to all points of interest. Stay...
Read moreIf you are not looking for a luxurious hotel, but you want to be in the middle of all, than decide for the Relais Argentina Hotel. Giorgio asked us the night before we arrived, whether we would like to be picked up from the Airport and this was really the best we could make. It was cheapier than a taxi and we got a little sightseeing tour from the driver. Our room was in the first floor, it was clean and sweet. Wifi was pretty fast and Giorgio welcomed us and gave us a map and showed everything on it (all point of interests). He gave us great restaurant tips and left us his number, if we had more questions about Roma. We felt very comfortable and it was really a nice stay. FYI: there is no reception, you have to pay at arrival. Whats great about this place too, is that everything can be reached by foot. It was great and I would recommend this place to my...
