Residenza Canova Tadolini — Hotel in Rome

The location was perfect for us 4 mins from the Piazza del Popola one way and 4 mins from the Spanish steps the other. The road is clean, full of designer shops and restaurants.|The staff were friendly and Barbara on Reception would greet us every morning. She was there from 9-6pm for any problems, gave us drinking water for trips and called a taxi for the airport on the last day. |we loved the old fashioned Italian feel to the room, the walls are padded with a beautiful material. the lights were a little dark but we got use to that. I loved sitting in the window alcove every morning with a coffee. there was a wardrobe, and coat and shoe stand and a desk with 3 tiers of snacks for us, refilled daily as a thank you from the hotel.( lovely little touch.) tea and coffee and a coffee pod machine to use. The en suite shower room was spacious, with sink, toilet, bidet and shower and our towels were replaced with clean ones daily. they supply a hairdryer and mini toiletries too.|The room had blackout curtains and it was reasonably quiet, we slept very well.|On their web site it says breakfast can be bought to your room daily but you have to go their sister hotel to get this. Also if you turn up after 6pm reception is closed, the outside door is locked and i still dont know what we would have done if we'd turned up late. We would definitely come back to this hotel again. Such an elegant establishment!!! We booked a suite for two adults and 1 child and it worked out perfectly. First of all the location is four minute walk to Piazza Popolo and from Spanish steps on the most beautiful wealthy Street. The building has a tiny elevator just enough to bring your luggage upstairs to the first floor. The checking was easy and the front desk people are very nice and attentive. The room and building are decorated in museum style. you will feel like you are in your own private wealthy residence. You can order whatever you’d like to eat for breakfast from the menu and a very nice woman brings that directly to your room in the morning and then picks up the table once you’re done eating. You can also choose to walk 10 minutes to their other hotel and have a breakfast buffet there. It is so convenient in every way. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There are hair dryer and toiletries in the room. The only drawback is because it is an old building, The air conditioner was a little too loud, and sometimes the toilet did not flush well. A la lecture des commentaires et pour le prix payé on s attendait à beaucoup mieux.||Les points négatifs recensés pendant le séjour sont nombreux et certains sont inacceptables.||Voir la liste:||Le personnel à l accueil n est rapide pour faire le Check in et tout juste souriant.||Le petit déjeuner certes compris est tres tres light seulement le choix entre croissant / pain beurre confiture et une boisson + une boisson froide. ||Uniquement servi en chambre ( pas de salle petit déjeuner) et tout le reste est en extra et tres cher entre 5 et 8 eur par item||Exemple : un morceau de fromage / un jus d orange frais pressé (extra )/ 2 œufs (extra )||Un morceau de Charcuterie ( extra).||La chambre est un peu old fashion, vieillotte .||Mais le pire reste à venir sans j aurais mis une meilleur note.||Le premier après avoir servi le petit déjeuner et membre du personnel à frappé puis refrappé à la porte pour reprendre le plateau au bout d un heute soit vers 10h45/11h alors le panneau DON T DISTURB etait mis à l extérieur de la porte.||J étais sous la douche mon ami non habillé dans le lit ...||Au vu de cette instance, mon ami au bout de 2 minutes .||On a fait savoir notre mécontentement à la réception qui n en avait rien à faire .||Et pour le coup sourirait ( comprendre nous prenais pour des idiots)||Aucun geste commercial de l hotel , aucune excuse c est lamentable .||Tous les hôtels respectent la tranquillité des clients ! Le panneau DON T DISTURB à la pour ca !||Le pire, à la sortie de la Chambre la personne qui ai revenu cherché le plateau à fait la leçon à mon ami en lui disant de bien mettre le panneau " prière de nettoyer la chambre ".||Et la réception on nous a presque fait comprendre que les clients à 11h devaient être ailleurs que dans leur chambre et visiter la ville.||En clair en vacances pour se reposer c est au client à faire des efforts pas l inverse.||Enfin, suite à cet incident on nous a fermement rappelé que le Check out etait a 10h30.||Manière peu sympathique de nous dire que nous aurions pas une minute de plus pour partir!||D ailleurs j en profite pour rappeler qu en général dans la plus part des hotels dans le monde le Check out Max est vers 12h.||Enfin nous avons insisté une dénierez fois au Check out pour signifier que nous étions mécontent et que si rien n était fait nous ferions un retour négatif .||Ils nous rien voulu savoir et comme à leur habitude depuis l incident ne nous présenté aucune excuse et n avaient jamais le sourire .||Bref je ne recommande pas du tout cet hotel pour son personnel .||||Point positif ||L emplacement ||La chambre spacieuse ||Et une petite terrasse ||||Je n ai jamais mis une aussi mauvaise note sur un hotel.||Mais c est la première fois que l on ne respecte pas un panneau DON T DISTURB.||les points négatifs étant nombreux petit déjeuner , personnel etc .||Je prends pas en compte le peu de positif.||Le rapport qualité / prix lui est bel et bien tres tres mauvais d ou cette note .||Nous avions séjourné dans Un autre quartier de Rome avant ( trastevere 2 fois moins chèr et petit dej tout compris : yaourt ,œuf, fromage ...
