This is the only review I'm posting while staying in Rome as an English-speaking tourist. The restaurant made a good impression on me.

The restaurant is on a corner of two minor streets but the tables are on the short side street that sees no car or bus traffic. The place opens at 12:00 – we got there at 12:45 and no one was eating outdoors, but an hour later all outdoor tables were occupied. Seating is limited to about fifteen tables, each with a pair of seats, with tables grouped in various configurations.

All menu items are translated to English and are reasonably priced. I shared an appetizer of chicory au gratin, which is sauteed and covered in breadcrumbs and oil but not cheese. This satisfied me because it was not too filling. For the second course I had tonnarelli with tomato and eggplant sauce. The tonnarelli appears the same as fettuccini and I always find it amusing how Italians come up with new words for every type of pasta if it differs every so slightly from another pasta type. For dessert I had a tiramisu, which was prepared here as a pudding. (Another place I went prepared it as a mousse.)

All were delicious and, unlike most places I visited here, served promptly and attentively. Most places I've been to seem content to have you wait indefinitely till you flag a waiter down. I guess Italians like to sit at tables for hours to talk and don't care about being served with new food and drinks while they are talking, but maybe my better experience here was only due to sitting by the entrance. Still, the turnover here among other diners seemed better than most other places I observed.

The bill was simplified by category: drinks, appertif, primi, dolci, and caffè, and service charges, so it was easier to understand compared to most other places. The bill came to just under 100 USD for a shared appertif, two primi, four spritzes, two desserts, and two coffees, which is quite reasonable.

I hope to be back here when I'm in Rome another year. There are a few other places close to Piazza del Popolo, but most of are not rated as highly as...

We looked at the reviews and tried this restaurant, it was ok but not great. I think they were just opening and were rushed or at least appeared so. The reception was perfunctory when we arrived and asked for a table. They were quick with the bread basket but had to ask for side plates. Bit of a flag. I had to grab the oil and vinegar from the next table, since they seemed short staffed. The Cacio e pepe was ok but needed more pepper. The Parmigiana di melanzane was good but lacked a little depth of flavor compared to what’s available around the area. We ordered the beef with pepper sauce. This was good and good flavor. The artichokes we also had were nice but not great - these were fried whole and served with potatoes (Milanese style). The location is convenient and the atmosphere was nice and pleasant inside and outside. I know being in a tourist area can be tough and the service industry is not easy, but that’s the industry you’re in so being accommodating and pleasant IS part of the job. I felt I was trying to accommodate them rather than the other way around. If you try the restaurant, I hope it was just an off day and...

Definitely for locals. Stared at like I had horns and was prancing naked. Wait staff are old dudes that act like they have never left the restaurant and don't really want anyone but pure Italians and locals here. Nice decor. Quaint cosy place. Will have to see how atmosphere changes when I learn more Italian. Tagliata mediamente cotta: had a nice flavor, but it was 1/4 gristle and not much fat. La Terrazza by the marriott park roma is much better. the insalata mixed was delicious as well. In fact the food was the only reason the stars weren't 0. Tall guy without glasses was rude enough to start clearing my table before I was finished eating. Then proceeded to drop the user knife covered in steak juice on my white shirt. Thanks guy. I hope a brick falls on your head. Guy in glasses was kind enough to help me out of where I was sitting so that I could make my appointment. So he's also the reason it got 2 stars. A banner day for bad...

Beautiful old family driven restaurant. The room is filled with paintings , and the staff of father, mother, and son did a very good job in making us feel welcomed. We enjoyed our late lunch with soup, varm seafoodsalad, and pasta. The food was made with love and was very tasty.😋👌 The tables are very close and I love it because we heard our neighbours on our left side having a very interesting discussion in Italian and we did not understand anything (maybe 10%), but just listen to Italians talking is sooo 👍, yes. So we started talking to the guest on our right side and had a very nice talk with an American couple that was on their first trip to Italy. Oh, I just love these moments. 💖 I can recommend this restaurant and I'd love to eat here again next time we're in Rome.

Da Edy was an amazing find during our Rome visit! In the 9 days we spent exploring Rome, we ended up eating here twice (it was that good). Lovely (very picturesque!) side street between Piazza del Popolo and Spanish Steps. Our family of 5 (including 2 teenagers and Grandmom) enjoyed all our dishes there. Convenient to all the shops in the area. Highest awards went to the Spaghetti al cartoccio (seafood in tinfoil), Spaghetti Vongole (clams) and Tagliatelle carbonara. One of more reasonable priced restaurants in the area (pasta dishes range between 12 and 16 euros) . Very comfortable restaurant to sit and enjoy a delicious meal and special memories. Owners/servers were very kind and we would gladly go back again. Highly recommend.
