This hotel room was not at all up to the standards it was made out to be. The area of which the hotel was located was perfect as it was only a 5 minute walk from Vatican City and we were able to arrive quickly to see the pope speak on the Sunday morning. There are many restaurants and bars surrounding the hotel which was ideal for picking up some breakfast to start the day and a Metro station a 5 minute walk away too.
However this hotel could be made better in many areas as the location of the hotel is perfect, but there were many things wrong with the room we were allocated.
Nothing worked within the room. The shower would stay hot for 1 minute and would then go cold.
The bidet was constantly leaking despite us not even turning it on.
The hairdryer that was in the room did not work at all in any of the plug sockets available.
The area, however was convenient, was very noisy all night.
The wifi did not work at all in our room, which was very inconvenient as we needed to keep in contact with a friend we were meeting, on what time we should meet up and were unable to contact her due to having no Wifi and No phone service in this building.
We were very disappointed, we found this hotel quite cheap on one website, and we were glad we paid this price rather than double that to stay in the same room off another website as we would have been even more disappointed.
The room was dusty and had marks all over the walls when we arrived, the windows were left open so the room was also full of mosquitoes. We had closed the windows upon arrival, when we left the room to go and explore, we came back to the windows open again.
We payed for 3 nights and the bed sheets and towels were changed once. We didn’t have any clean towels on our last day and had to use the same ones throughout our time there as the spare ones we had been given were completely saturated from having to be used to clean up the water that had leaked from the bidet. This was constant and we had to clear up water every night that had come from there.
This had us very concerned as a bidets purpose is to clean areas that are not sanitary, and having to clear up water that had leaked from a the pipes of this was just not ideal for us.
Would not recommend this place and definitely will not...
Read more-we were delayed on our flight. We planned to arrive at the hotel at 23 but was impossible. We called the property they treated us like terrorists. We had to send our faces and passports via whatsap to self check in and pick up the keys of the room in a random spot of the property. The man that contacted us was so mad, asking me what I do for a job trying to self xplain why was impossible to arrive after 00.00 (again, was not our fault). I asked to come over the next day and loose one night but he refused because he doesnt work on saturdays (lol). (actually, he doesnt work at all. Never saw nobody of the staff in 3 days). I had to pay in advance from the airport via a random website (not paypal) in order to avoid sleep in the street and get the room.||2.-When we arrived, all was a madness. NO CLEANING at ALL from the last(S????) guests. A lot of dirt everywhere. No clean towels, no clean sheets, bathroom with almost a colony of new life spawning in the shower (see pictures). DUST everywhere from decades of not cleaning. Rubbish FULL from other guests. Smell of humidity and caca from all the room. I had to buy myself TOWELS, WC PAPER and SHAMPOO. Nothing there. Nobody to ask for this things. NOBODY in 3 days! i paid 260 euros and the only good thing was to be under a roof while it was raining because all the other things were terrible. Not talking about the noise, because we couldnt sleep...
