My girlfriend and I stopped by this restaurant because it was right next to the Vatican tour we had scheduled. We were short on time (only had about 30 mins and were coming from another tour), hungry, and needed to eat something before the subsequent 3+ hour tour.
We were immediately seated by a friendly gentleman who seemed to take pride in having customers there. Another gentleman, our waiter, came over quickly and greeted us. I explained, regrettably, that we were in a hurry and asked what we could order to accommodate this. He was immensely helpful (I wish I remembered his name, but I do know he was from Ukraine) and we placed our order.
In this short time, we got our drinks, our food, and paid, leaving us enough time to get to our tour. The mozzarella we had as a starter was literally the best we’d ever tasted. The pizza was excellent as well, with a crust to die for. The service, also impeccable. The prices, very reasonable. Our waiter was friendly, punctual, personable, and accommodating of our situation.
I truly wish we could have stayed longer (something I rarely say about restaurants) and gotten the full experience. The next time we are in Rome, we will most certainly return. A strong 5/5 stars, highly,...
Read moreThis spot was not a place I planned on going to at first. I was looking for a restaurant to try after my visit to the Vatican and what a great choice I made coming here. The service was great and the food that me and my girlfriend had was outstanding. My girlfriend got the spaghetti Al pesto which was probably the best pesto pasta we have had in our time in Rome. As for the lasagna that I got, it was amazing and had a great flavor with the béchamel and tomato sauce oozing between each layer of the pasta sheets. They are not shy with the size and they give you a lot. The Cesar salad was good and I respected how they grated fresh Parmesan on it. The pizza also wasn’t the best I’ve had but still was made with fresh ingredients and had a great flavor and crust. It was also very light and I was able to eat the whole pie to myself after the lasagna. Everything was fresh and the prices were also great as well. I’m disappointed in myself for not visiting one more time before leaving Rome. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a nice restaurant to eat after your visit to...

We had a wonderful lunch today at Vinsanto Vino & Cucina, and it’s easily one of the best spots to eat near the Vatican City and the Vatican Museums. After a morning of sightseeing, this cozy and inviting restaurant was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal.
We ordered a classic spaghetti with tomato and basil, and a grilled chicken plate served with a fresh mixed salad. Both dishes were simple, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The pasta was perfectly cooked and full of rich, authentic tomato flavor, while the chicken was tender and well-seasoned with a light drizzle of olive oil.
The service was excellent—friendly, fast, and attentive without being intrusive. We chose to sit outside, which was a great choice. The setting was lovely, with a pleasant breeze and a lively Roman atmosphere all around us.
If you're visiting the Vatican and looking for a delicious, no-fuss meal in a relaxing spot, Vinsanto Vino & Cucina is a must-visit. We left happy, full, and already thinking about...
